Got a "unsafe movement" ticket last night. Cop was at the stop sign and I was turning left onto his road, and I signaled and took the turn at about 30, and the limit was 35. The tires did make some noise, but they are the stock michelins, and it was 38 degress outside, which to me is going to make them squeal when barely even turning. Think I should fight this or do I deserve it? He was the only car in sight, and it was about 2100.

I'm curious if a judge would even understand, "cold summer tires, on cold pavement will squeal". This OEM tires squeal in the summer, on certain tarmac.

If they did, they might start calling it "improper equipment " instead of "unsafe movement".

In that case, it would be an OEM issue, and they should know what is prop per for the car.

@ML good luck with the ticket, I got a warning friday night from the cop that lives in my neighborhood for reckless driving. Apparently getting sideways turning right is frowned upon.?

Yeh i wish it was tonight, going to be alot warmer than tommorow night thats for sure
