Yeah, after living in DF/W for the first 18 years of my life, you aren't seeing any good roads to drive on unless you get outside of the main city. Otherwise, you get people racing on the Dallas toll roads, lol.

Going to be watching your progress with OFT, trying to figure out which tuning solution I want to go with. Eventually want to go with the Jackson Racing S/C so I'm taking the wait an see approach with which solution I want.

Actually I am very fortunate to have the BRZ, since it was supposed to be her car (I sold her RSX when we moved to Europe 4 yrs ago). My wife must really love me because once she saw how enamored I was with the BRZ she said she would take the Impreza Outback Sport and the BRZ would be mine (with only one condition that I take the automatic).

So... even though I was/am terrified I volunteered for her to take the BRZ on the road trip. That's how marriages work

Thanks for making me look on the bright side - I grew up in driving in the mountains (a lot unpaved hence why I have custom made skid plates on my outback sport as I beat up headers without them) around Seattle and then moved to Switzerland for 4 yrs with some of the most beautiful roads in the world before recently moving here to Austin. So I have been kind of depressed that I finally have the perfect car for the twisties but no mountains... now I just have to remind myself "it could be worse, it could be Dallas"

I'm very interested in the OFT. Too bad you weren't there saturday I was asking around if anyone had an OFT since I want to see one

I decided I will try to wait on any power mods until they have the damn crickets figured out for good and by then the tuning/header/intake stuff should be sorted so I can make an informed decision weighing cost, sound and hp.

I may come to an event eventually. Unfortunately there isn't much to see with the OFT, lol. It's a tablet, you use it to flash the ecu, and you can datalog with it. The one thing to show is how easy to use it is. If you really want to get to the heart of OFT, you're gonna be wanting to look at a computer

More just curious about your thoughts and how easy it is to use etc. After working with medical software all day, I want something pretty pain-free to use and not feel like I am testing software outside of work.

It was my wife's 2003... I loved the comfort and the quality of it - that thing had NO rattles/squeeks etc the entire time I owned it and low road noise as well. When I sold it, it really looked and sounded exactly like new. I do miss that silence in my BRZ but the BRZ is much more fun to drive.

I had a 2002 Camaro SS before this car. I lost a lot of power.... More fun car overall though. Gas mileage as a daily is also a plus. Millions of things to mod as well. I think the hardest part so far is trying to find an exhaust that's loud without being a raspy asshole.

We'll all be laughing when it's 115 outside and they are in their black or blue BRZ's with leather sweating their cahones off!!!
