so we just finished bolting everything up for the intercooler, and we were about ready to start bleeding the coolant, however we noticed that when you turn the car to on (without starting), the pump kicks on, which we expected, but when we turn the car off, the pump continued to run. It didn't stop until we pulled the battery. We tested again after reconnecting the battery and had the same results. What's going on? has anyone experienced this?

Strange, I thought it plugs into the injector harness? That should only get power in the ON position.

Yeah, we're talking the same language.

BTW - How do you bleed the air out of the intercooler system? Is there something to look for to make sure all the air is out?

lots of hose squeezing, from what i hear, we didn't get that far since we ran into the pump issue and it was getting dark/cold again.

they tell you the exact amount to add (2200ML) so you will know when you're done bleeding it. also apparently the pump sounds different too.

The pump runs when IGN is on, and also continues to run for about 30 secs after you turn it off.

I'm assuming there's a replay between the injector power circuit and the pump. So, based on that, it sounds like your relay is sticking. First ensure the power to the injectors is in fact turning off when the key is turned off. Next look for continuity between the normally open contacts on the relay with it removed from the system. If both of those check out, try to simulate the problem by energizing and de-energizing the replay and ensuring it is in fact opening and closing the normally open contacts. If it's not, you'll need to replace it.

A timed delayed relay wouldn't surprise me as I think it would be a good idea to help prevent shingling or whatever the term would be for screw type compressor. And I'm sorry that this is gonna come off as being a jerk, but I've got to ask if you're sure that's done intentionally, or if anyone can say they also see the same thing?

Well, whatever relay it is would be the factory relay for the injectors, as the pump for the intercooler is run off of the driver side injector harness.

That's what was perplexing to us. If its normal, cool - it just wasn't expected. If it's not normal, wtf m8?
