See, here is the thing. I have never seen the OP happy with this car, the motor or the transmission. So don't bother everyone

This saddens me because I'm thinking along those lines too

In fact, I hope this motor doesn't end up being the ugly red headed step child that nobody wants. Subaru was hesitant to add d4s and never liked it. Now they've made their own fa20dit and will probably pursue that. And Toyota, well, this is 90% not their engine so... Both camps simply shelving this motor? I hope not.
I think this is FAR FAR FAR from the case. TRD has developed basically everything for this car so far. Brakes, suspension, cams, supercharger, aero....everything. We'll see how much they will release to public consumption but so far almost everything is available except the engine internals and supercharger unfortunately.

There was alot of talk early on in the twins life that subaru and toyota agreed not to boost the output of the cars for two years as well. Toyota is developing parts out in the open and Subaru is totally invested in the FA/FB engine with almost all their cars being built with that motor. I wouldn't be surprised to see heavy development of the FA16DIT to relaunch subaru in WRC sometime in the future. Takes time to develop stuff though.

The hell does the other thread have to do with this one?! If anything, you guys gotta stop trolling me!

I never said anything bad about the gearbox. In fact, I praise it and it's one of the best I've driven. Now the motor, that's the subject of this topic. Do you guys stalk me? Seriously, get a life.

It makes me sad that Honda stopped the production of that beautiful car.

Person (I assume you are a guy, but I don't stalk you, so I do not know), people are allowed to have things called "memories" and I remember reading many threads/posts where you have negative opinions about the car.

Simple as that.

Ah that sucks to hear. Too bad because it's such a great platform. Oh well!!

As for engine internals, they are priced like every other platform and they won't come down in price. I just put up a sale and they're in range or even less than some of the other ones I carry.

Please custom compression available for bigger boost potential.

Since the stroker kits are going to be unreasonably expensive for barely any displacement, I'd do Darton sleeves, overbore to custom 90mm pistons with 10.5:1 compression. That's almost 2.2L and probably able to handle 20-25psi easily. There are also springs from Kelford and valves from SuperTech. There are alone you can raise the revs a bit as well.

what I would like to see is custom aftermarket part for who want to keep it NA or that want to increase the potential of a NA+S/C Build.

2.2L high compression etc.
250whp NA would be such a great achievement.

I would prefer to pay 10k for a reliable NA 250whp instead of 5k for a S/C or Turbo 260+ whp

Definitely do-able! The CP and JE pistons are all customizable. You could get high comp, sleeved block and semi-built head. ARP has head studs being released soon as well. Run something high-rev high comp and make big- N/A power with 2.2L. That would be sick.
