How do you find the alcantara, besides the fact that its alcantara, is there big difference between the look compared to cloth seats. I've been going back and forth trying to decide whether or not to go with alcantara or leather jpm bits. Pictures never seem to do it justice, so was just wondering. Thanks
There's not really a big difference in the look. I did the door pieces last night during the installation of the OEM Audio+ Reference series. You'd be hard-pressed to point out that the seats and the speaker grills were different fabric. There is a subtle difference, sure - but the detail with the stitching and the fact that it's no longer plain black plastic outweighs it.

@_B_ - lesson learned. I have the 2014 Bespoke unit, not the 2013, even though it's a MY2013 car. The OEM Audio+ install went fine, but the only place to plug the XM module in was occupied by a nav plug. I tried just plugging the wiring in (never hooked up the XM module itself), and the head unit "lost" Bespoke. Even when the correct harness is now hooked up, it's non-Bespoke and any time I try to use the nav, it tells me "Bespoke Premium Audion is not installed"... urgggh.

Going to reach out to OEM Audio+ to see if they have any clues. I bypassed their wiring behind the head unit; made no difference. I find it hard to believe that simply plugging a lead into the head unit would wipe Bespoke (especially when the wire wasn't connected to anything), but it could also be that the head unit was out of the car for 2 hours while I did the install.

Having the battery disconnected overnight while I did the supercharger install fixed the head unit!

Installed the wheels so I could get an idea of what the drop was like:

Installed the Eibach Pro Kit last night without spring compressors. Fronts were a bitch / lots of load on them:

Tuned the ECU, took it out today - it smells nasty as some of the coolant burns off from the SC install. Nice bump in torque, but I'm now thinking I went wrong with the 3" exhaust. Just way too noisy for my tastes when combined with the overpipe and UEL.

For now, just used the tune that came with the Innovate kit.

Nice! our builds are so similar. only difference is my suspension, downforce aero and no FI for now. makes me want to put on a jacket and install parts. The 3" header back is definitely very loud during cold start. Very reasonable once the car is warmed up.

Still a little too loud for me, personally - swapping to a 2.5" exhaust late this week to quiet it down. Has a drone at 55-65mph that's annoying and it's drowning out the whine of the supercharger... Lol!

Five:AD rear spoiler arrived today - went on with no issues and the color match is perfect!

Also installed the OEM LHD armrest - pics later. Soooo much better with the added 1.5" of padding there.

Swapped the 3" for a 2.5" last night - the sound level at highway speed was just too much for me.

Also, don't think I ever showed a pic of the OEM Audio+ setup. Color matched reference series; looks and sounds great. Some minor vibration from the Subaru trunk lid liner I put in that I need to sort out.

What I'm really excited about is building the car - before the GTR, I'd built a bunch of cars - a 2001 RSX-S, 2001 S2000, 2002 Evo, 2004 NSX, 2005 NSX, 2008 Z-06. The S2000, both NSXs and the Z-06 all ended up with superchargers... lots of fun to drive (except for the Z-06, it was almost unusable at 680hp).

I prefer to do most of the work myself - it's like meditation to go in the garage and turn wrenches. As of this weekend, the only thing I did to the car was JDM side markers and 6 coats of Zaino (pic attached). Word is that my BeatSonic antenna, JDM badging and Rexspeed CF front/sides are getting delivered today.

There's a steady stream of parts that should be showing up in the next month... will post more as I install it.

I remember ur NSX build bro. And remember ur blue NSX story as well.

Ha - never let a tech drive a supercharged mid-engined car with the traction control off in the rain.

Still trying to sort out what to do for brakes.

The Innovate IC upgrade will be here next week - I should have ordered the IC kit to begin with, but wanted to at least see how the regular kit felt first on the off chance it was enough.

Also scored a set of HKS coilovers for < half price, so another round of suspension upgrades is in my future.

When I do the IC install, I'm going to swap the stock airbox for a Perrin CAI that is sitting waiting to be installed. Almost did it last night, but I'd rather take the bumper off once and knock both mods out.
