Picked up my car from the bodyshop tonight in the pouring rain. God, I missed her.

Got mad at my stupid phone. For whatever reason I have to confirm bluetooth every time I get in the car or my phone sits there and constantly notifies me that the car is trying to make connection. Ugh, motorola.

Oh, and I tuned my GTI, I think it's nearly as fast as my BRZ now, lol... New engine should pretty much blow the doors off of the BRZ, sadly

Installed my shift knob yesterday, love the look and feel.

Changed diff/trans fluid (Motul 300) and Whiteline bushing @ the DIY garage - $25/hr for lift and tools!!! Took me 2hrs 3mins total. (overpipe nuts were a !@#$ to remove)

I took advantage of the warm weather yesterday and cleaned the inside. I used meguiars products and invisible glass. Came out nice and it smelt new today when I finally hit 5000 miles.

I have had the same issue with mine and my parking area is paved. I think with a build up of water on the mat and it washes the dirt over the back edge under acceleration.

Literally is just flaking off. I'd understand if it were just a chip from a rock, but paint on a new car should never come off in pieces like this. I'm 100% confident that if I were to hit it with a pressure washer it would come off completely.

Took it to the local dealer and they nearly fell over. I've got an appointment scheduled for it's first service and they are going to keep the car after that and give me a loaner.

I'll keep this updated as to what Subaru does to fix this situation.

Dropped the car off last Tuesday, January 7th, and they still have it.

Took it to a local body shop to get a quote. Was told for a few days they were waiting on approval from Subaru Corporate to approve the repair (and send them a check for it), however yesterday I got a call saying that Corporate was sending out a Tech to inspect the issue in person.

Hopefully something good will come out of it and I can get back in my BRZ ASAP, although, i'm not complaining about my loaner. They gave me a brand new 2014 Crosstrek:



Had 18 miles on it when I picked it up and it has 1,045 as of this morning, lol. I've been using the hell out of it to go grab parts for my GF's Miata!

Got my SuperTek intake tube installed. Gonna take it off tonight and flip the clamps at the throttle body, but I wanted to get it installed here at work, so I can see how it feels on the drive home.
