This leaves the early adopters in quite the quandary. Trade/sell drop more money? Anyways, it may or may not come 2015 no one knows. I appreciate these early adopters, yet if in my power, i will not buy a first year new model again having dealt w/ an 04 RX-8 and the plethora of issues.

So, OP- my opinion is to wait what maybe 6 months for more info? If nothing noteworthy then there's your answer.
The problem is these threads are so common, and it's the same question every year: "Next years model will surely be a huge improvement, right?"

A year ago, people were making this exact same thread asking about a different engine for the 2014 model, and look what changed: you now get knee pads.

Both Toyota and Subaru have made official announcements that they have no desire to add power to the AS1 platform. They always said "it would upset the balance of the car". Whether or not that's true can be argued, but it's what they believe. Maybe in another 5 years, when they make the next generation of this car, they will add power, but who knows how much heavier it will have to be then?

That is probably one of the issues...that's why i necroposted in an old thread yesterday instead of starting a new one

Seriously though it's obvious this is what is holding some people back. For me it's about that window...my purchase window...i can wait to hear what 2015 brings and if worthy just wait. If not, then most likely i will pick up a '14. And if 2016 comes the power well then it just wasn't in my purchasing window.

Nobody cares about your window… When it's 2015, we can speculate once rumors turn to facts. Until then these idiots need to stop making these kind of threads.

Sounds like you need to do more research before you buy and sell. As for 2015 .... only god knows. Sounds like you need to consider leasing.
I sold the 2013 and now i want a 2014? not because its any different, simply because its what they have in dealers. The fact that i'll be getting the same car doesn't mean i won't value it as i did then. why don't you read or at least make sure you understand a post before replying with irrelevant accusations. My quote about "not being able to afford" is to those that are criticizing my changing cars more than they change underwear's you sir were no were in those posts so keep it that way. Don't feel insulted because you get cheap looks in the street in your FRS and to feel better you have to tell yourself you own an R8. Please man this really isn't about you! I'm sure if you had the means to change cars every day you would, maybe not, to each its own. Who are you to come in here and judge, i asked a simple question and if you feel insulted by my ignorance then ignore the thread smart guy.

Regardless i got a few of opinions so thanks to those who helped. Mods feel free to delete this like many "receptive threads" so others won't be offended. unsubscribing

My FRS is my 422nd vehicle. Now 110 of those were motorcycles. That said, make your own decisions and do what you like if it makes you happy and you can afford to do it and don't worry about what others think. I have made lots of money buying and selling over the years and have lost some too but have had a ball and had a lot of vehicles that others wish they could have even driven. Looking back over the last 45 years I wouldn't have done anything different except maybe keep a few of those that I regret selling and are worth a small fortune today. By the way, the FRS is probably the most economical sports car I have ever owned. LOTS of bang for the buck.

Are you a Hyundai Genesis owner? You seem angry.

I don't know why you're catching all this crap. Just buy a FRS that you want, the sky is the limit for what power you want to make depending on cost. Drive it and be happy.

There are some seriously stupid people popping up in this thread. I know @yomny personally and all these comments about how often he changes cars are simply misguided. If someone has the means to change cars that often so they can experience the choices that are out there, you automatically label that person as indecisive or clueless? He's asking you a simple question:

If you were in the market for an FR-S, would you buy now or wait until the summer when they announce whatever new changes are happening to the 2015? Sources would also be helpful.

Just except the FT 1 will be 2x the price or more. Look like it will be Toyota flagship. The most expensive Toyota is ? 50k ?

Hey I will definitely eat my words if they do. But if I were a gambling man, I know where I'd be putting my money.
