Right. I said it would look like a hot lava. But just look like, not EXACTLY like. Lol.

If you're gonna fantasize about a custom color think of something not like any OEM color like BMWs Laguna Seca Blue or Subaru's old Sonic Yellow.

Haha. No, it never got a name. But some engineer was quoted as saying it was the traditional color of a japanese Monkeys backside, so that kinda stuck.

I thought they stopped selling the WRX/STI line in the UK?

They stopped selling it there for MY14 because they were already selling the new impreza like us but didn't want to sell the "old" WRX/STi along side it. It was a marketing thing

I'd be surprised if the new STi is priced under $35k in the states still. Only 1,000 copies coming to the USA with the famed WRB and gold wheels combo.

I can't believe they're doing a limited run for that combo. I don't see the point other than them charging more for this limited run and trying to cash in on die-hard fans, which, as fan, I'd take as a slap on the face . On the other hand, if they are in fact charging the same price for the limited run, then I guess you just get some kind of exclusivity for being an early adopter. I'm just bitter that its not standard, and when the time comes that I need 4 doors, I'll just have to go aftermarket for the gold wheels, short-throw shifter, etc.

That is a slap in the face considering it became famous from a racing series they don't even participate in anymore so only real fans would care that much. I didn't know about the limited run until now and that is hella crappy.

Granted maybe nobody cares. The other day I had someone tell me their STI was the iconic black with gold wheels
