well you oviously have plenty of disposable income to loose about 3-5+ grand everytime you trade a car in or you have a trick that you need to tell me about because i need to learn how to get a different car every 6 months! lol since you obviously have the money and means to afford plenty of cars why in the world are you looking at an frs again???? if its true you have a 335is now, you will be downgrading drastically if you do trade it in for an FRS! dont get me wrong, the frs handles nice and all but is in a whole different class to a 335is. and even if they did update the engine, i doubt it will be as fast as the 335is you currently have... why not get something better? Cayman? new M4? etc... sounds to me like you are making this stuff up... and since this is the internet well as they say around here, proof or it didnt happen.... any pics of the frs m3 sti and 335is that you care to share to verify that your story is credible? tell you what, im from miami too so i'll trade you my frs for your 335is

The only reports I've heard of a 2.5 is what Tada has been testing. This doesn't mean anything though. Any changes to the car requires both Subaru and Toyota to agree upon. Its the same reason why the convertible is currently dead. Subaru refused to build it

I can all but guarantee a power bump in 2015, but more likely 2016. Toyota knows a lot of people will trade in their current Twin for the new one in the event of more power AKA more money for them. But cost would have to increase, as with weight which is against the original concept. If you want the raw and simple sports car with a 90's clock. Buy now, but if you want a high tech, powerful, and expensive car, then wait.
Also; with Toyota's Love affair with the Prius, and the opportunity to slap Honda's failed Sport/Hybrid CRZ in the face. I predict the KERS system to be in the refreshed FR-S. |

You would be waiting/relying on a flimsy rumor. More than likely, and I am sure most would agree, there is like a 5% or less chance there will be a 2.5 liter. I would just FI it with AVO or SC with innovate

Screw the 2.5 liter... wait for the 2016 FA20 with VVTL-i and an 8200 rpm redline. VVTL-i just kicked in yo...

I'm pretty sure you don't really know what we can afford. Your post doesn't make sense. The 2013 and 2014 are essentially the same. You sold the 2013 and now you are considering the 2014. Sounds like you need to do more research before you buy and sell. As for 2015 .... only god knows. Sounds like you need to consider leasing. |

Wow, seems like lots of people get upset at talks of a power increase. You know what? I understand why they would. They go out and buy the FRS/BRZ and then just a few years later a potential power increase. And i'm sure they would want the latest and greatest and/or more power, therefore the hate comes since they don't wanna be out more $$$ etc.
This leaves the early adopters in quite the quandary. Trade/sell drop more money? Anyways, it may or may not come 2015 no one knows. I appreciate these early adopters, yet if in my power, i will not buy a first year new model again having dealt w/ an 04 RX-8 and the plethora of issues. So, OP- my opinion is to wait what maybe 6 months for more info? If nothing noteworthy then there's your answer. |

Well, If it was me I would try and get my hands on a Monogram FR-S now for the added fit and finish, which you might miss coming out of the BMW, and then turbo the car. If you get bored with that then do a rebuild like the Crawford BRZ that makes around 500hp. If you are going to turbo the car anyway I wouldn't worry to much about a future update. There is enough after market for these cars to keep you entertained for a long time.
