It's certainly got the better of me over the last 4 months.
I am doing R&D with the agent in SA, whom is liaising with Sprintex. We were one of the first to get the new kit unfortunately.
I've had 2 specialist install the kit and check it out, both failed.
Since I've taken it off And understand how it works what to look for and what each component does,I and able to sort myself out. so as the saying goes, if you dot know how to fix your mods you don't know how to mod.
I am a little concerned with the Blue Gates belt on the 75mm pulley it might be too tight, so I'm going to go back to the standard belt, to ensure kit runs properly.

Also fair warning don't over tighten the Allen key bolts on the charger as those bolts are very thin and strip easy..

how tight is the blue gates belt? i had issues with the standard belt because my tensioner moved too much, so a tighter belt may be good, depending on how much your tensioner moves when you get on the gas.

and my friend who's gonna give me a hand wanted to know what kind of threading on that screw on the back.

What size pulley comes with your Innovate kits.
Sprintex standard 80mm pulley 65 mm idle pulley ( I must double check the idle pulley size)
IC add on 75 mm pulley 70mm idle pulley.
So with the IC pulleys the blue gates is a huge effort to get on compared to the standard belt. I went BG as I heard it does not slip, however it may not be good for the 75mm set up and more suited with a 70mm.
The above is my opinion whether accurate, I'm sure someone with more knowledge could advise.

You need to teach me how to be patient like you.. lol.

This is why I ALWAYS do things myself. Now that you have pulled it apart, you know what you are doing and can take the time to do it yourself and not have to wait for a shop to figure it out, and on your dime.

Here's a photo of the brass fittings I referenced earlier from McMaster-Carr installed. The initial tube length is 2.5 inches. Should have the car on the road tomorrow.

I've been in contact with Innovate throughout the period of time when the pulley started making noise. In every case when I contacted them they were looking to solve the problem. Once we determined that a repack of the bearings wasn't the solution, they overnighted me a new pulley. I know of one other person who has had issues with the pulley and I suspect that given the type of driving that he and I do with our cars that we're pushing the pulley pretty hard. I am confident that Innovate will be working on figuring out what caused the failures and come up with a good solution to the problem.

FWIW, here's the bearing that comes in the pulley: Ntn 6203LU Single Row Ball Bearing: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

At $7.21 each that's not to bad of a cost.
I recently developed a squeak when the car is cold. It sounds like it's coming from one of the pullies, so I'm assuming it's the idler pulley considering the issues some have had.

Mine squeaks only on the initial startup, when the car is cold. It squeaks for about 30sec, then it goes away. If I drive the car throughout the day, it won't squeak. If I leave it in the garage overnight, it'll squeak again on startup for 30sec. If it might be the pulley, would you chance it next weekend at the track?

What do you guys think? Idler pulley? I have a track event a week from Sunday, and am thinking of buying the bearing you mention above.

Are you sure its not the belt slipping?

When my idler pulley started to go it did the same thing. You might order a new bearing.

I don't think the belt is slipping, but I could be wrong. It's squealing at idle, then eventually silences.

Thanks! I'll just get a bearing ordered, and have it installed prior to the track day.

Edit: Here is a video of what I'm talking about:

I wonder if the BG belt has not caused the bearing to go, as there is not much movement on the tension with the BG compared to the standard belt.

Mine sounds very simular with the BG on, change the belt and it's quiet. I'll try post a video clip.
Try change your belt back and check if the noise goes. Also if the bearing has gone you should be able to feel it if you wiggle the pulley with belt off.

Thanks everyone. I've ordered 2 bearings. Hopefully they'll arrive in time for my track event. For now, I'll try swapping to the standard belt to see if that helps for now.

Appreciate all your input!

@mines13 @Innovate Motorsports - Is this a common issue? Sounds like many are having this problem. I certainly don't want to replace this bearing every few thousand miles. Are you guys working on a solution???

A bearing is done long before you can feel play in it. The noise is a happy coincidence but it works perfectly as an indication that a bearing race or rolling element has started to flake off bits of metal. At the point that you can hear increased noise or vibration from a bearing, it's time to change it.
