soon to purchase Buddy club tails and Perrin 2.5 exhaust from FT86 speed factory. all in will be $1600 can't be touched in Canada. I guess my point is the retailers in Ottawa that I have visited must think I am not aware of the existence of the internet as they keep trying to royally screw me out of my cash.
I got my Dunlop ZII's from a place in Mississauga (gbtires.ca), and they were about even (or slightly less) than what it would've cost to buy from tirerack + shipping + duty. Sounds like the place you got prices from isn't the best place to go.

For the exhaust, I'll be shocked if the price to your door (assuming you don't ship to a US address and go pick it up) is actually that much better than a good Canadian vendor. I got a great deal on mine (about $200 less than what ft86speedfactory has it listed for), but by the time I paid for shipping and duty it was within $50-$100 of what buying from a good local place would have been.

You really have to shop around if you want good prices. Unless Ottawa is WAY different from the GTA for pricing, the place you're going seems to be out to lunch!

Just an FYI. Give Perry Auto a shout in Laval. See what he has and check prices there. He is good people.

^^ I had a couple parts quoted by them and their prices were better than ordering from the US.

Not BRZ, combined twins. Toyota only sells about 100/mth and Subaru is less than half that. That's an average figure as they obviously both sell more in the spring/summer but less in the winter/fall.

How big do you think the Canadian automotive market is? In perspective, Longo's Toyota in California sells almost as many cars as are sold by Toyota, Lexus, and Scion combined in Canada every year. Think about that next time when your considering why the US gets different pricing on things and different specs/features on cars that we don't.

Wow that means probably only a couple hundred BRZ in all of Canada.

Population density is the simplest logical answer.
