My G only has 56000 miles and I've had it since 2005 - just a weekend car until recently when I sold my Civic. Now I commute in the G. I'm just afraid I'll miss the power and semi-luxury. Wait, is this a ploy to make me give up my spot on th list?!?!

Haha, nah I'll just make this clear the Mayans didn't predict when our time ends, but simply just stopped at that point and we just happen to coincidentally fall into it. Sorry for going off topic here guys, please continue .

That is what we do best on here.

Paying MSRP + dealer markup reminds me of this video:

except it is like gouging out both eyes.

I was just thinking paying more than MSRP makes no sense for this car. Like poking yourself in the eye and not caring about it. lol

Canadian FRS has prettier seats.

Canadian BRZ-P has prettier hifi.

I kinda want to start a thread about importing Canadian models into the US. : )

Hahahahahahahaha poor kid! I hope he didn't end up blind in one eye because then he can never drive a BRZ.

Yup I mean if you think about it at least for me I've already made the effort to upgrade and afford, anything higher than MSRP is poking my self in the eye like the kid.

Ugh.

I've tried to conveniently ignore the fact that most dealers will try to mark up this car.

Now that it's come closer to the release date, not only have the price estimations inched up, but also the fact that dealers will mark-up this car for at least a few months.

...and the absolute worst thing one could do is pay more for depreciation. This car isn't worth more than $30,000 including TTL.

I guess I can try and find a dealer, put a deposit and hope for the best? I wouldn't mind MSRP if the Premium is around the original estimate of 25k.

If we have to put a deposit down and order this car , does the same apply for spare parts when it's time for service/repairs?
It might be best to wait until more of these cars (and spare parts) are available.
The best car is not one that is waiting for parts!

I look forward to test driving a BRZ as soon as they're available. I like what I see, but not enough to be pound foolish with my $$$. I'm feeling this "limited release" stuff is hype/hedging by Subaru & Toyota.

I don't NEED a new car, but I'd like one. I'd like a DGM Limited automatic. I'm not inclined to buy a Premium, and even less inclined to buy an FR-S. I want certain features in my next car. If I have to wait, or buy elsewehere to get what I want for a price I'm willing to pay, I'll do so.

I'm wondering how many lightly used '13 BRZs & FR-Ss we'll see on the market in Summer 2013. Young kids who couldn't make the bill; people who jumped on the hype, but ended up not liking the car; or the "DAYUM they've got a 2014 STI/Toyota FT86 out!" people.

Sorry if I've strayed too far off topic.
