Not very far fetched... I did 360WHP with a lower boost pulley than him. I was full 100% stock on my exhaust & header. Though I did it with slightly higher ethanol content. Tuning means a lot.

I had a couple free minutes on New Years to go weigh my car at the truckstop.

It is 2680lb full of gas, and 56/44%

Here is a thread where I have posted a bunch of power to weight ratios including my car now that I know what it is:

This car is legit. Any tuning for pump gas? Any idea on power numbers there?

Car looks great and is making awesome power. Good job!

With the flex fuel setup I stay on the same map all the time, and have seen 5-80% on the ethanol gauge.

You definitely feel less power on pump gas but I don't have any dynos to show it. Also I bet it runs hotter. On the upside the fuel economy pops right back up to 6-8mpg better.

The gauge in the center console:

Yep.. I am torn between having the clean look with nothing on the back, and then my experience of how squirelly it is at high speeds -- probably the closest thing I have to a complaint about the car's performance.

I swapped with @Jar from Phoenix to get his FR-S trunk. This was actually really easy.. maybe taking just 15 min when you are familiar with it. Which got me thinking about owning a 2nd trunk with a big ass wing for track days.

But over the next few months I started to realize that my setup is working like a parachute.. with an aftermarket exhaust making a hole at the tail end (where there was a big muffler). I would bet that some catback setups cost 10mph in top speed. Here is that area also with the underpanels visible:

So I lost interest in a wing (adding parasitic drag and probably some understeer until it gets sorted out, while looking like the pizza guy) and am focusing on the underside of the car instead.

My cheesy knockoff 'diffuser' wasn't doing shit for aerodynamics, and neither does the faux diffuser-shaped rear on the back of these cars with those "fake strakes". So a real diffuser is going to be the main part of my aero tune-up. My friends locally at SPS Autosport are making me one custom.. I can't wait to show some more pics.

Are you in AZ?
Joe at Goodspeed in Scottsdale can help with dyno tuning.

Otherwise things are changing quickly. The Az chat thread has group buys on Open Flash, and for Ecutek it is more 'unlocked' all the time. Nelsmar and maybe others can help with tunes in Phoenix.

cheers

What area are you in specifically? Joe at goodspeed is great. And I am able to help out as well. There is another local that is doing tuning as well up here in Phoenix over at soulless performance. He should be able to start tuning in a few weeks. And I've been working on a number of local cars my self.
