Get this: when I got my BRZ, it had just come out and supply was nearly non-existent. After calling every dealership within 500 miles, to no avail, my local dealership called me up one day to tell there just had been a pre-order cancellation and that I should rush over here before it flies out the lot (and, flying, they did back then).
I happily paid $3,500 *over* MSRP for the fully loaded Limited BRZ.
Call me whatever you want, I really don't care, but we were the early adopters... Not today's bandwagon riders!

whats tiring is that its another thread where someone is talking shit on a car for being more expensive than the frs. whats slightly more unique about this is that its someone talking shit on the much more versatile option within the twins choices. not understanding the value of, dual climate control, hids, non hideous corolla hvac controls, heated mirrors, navigation, leather seats etc. doesnt make us stupid...

ps my brz limited was 27200 right here in socal so maybe its your inability to research that is leaving you baffled.

People pay 30+ thousand for Honda civics re-branded as Acuras. The point is people are stupid and there's money to be made.

Proof? It's all in the drive.

I bought this car (FR-S 10 Series) because I wanted it. I had been looking at cars for a few months and chose this one. That is all.

I don't know whether ES350=Camry is identical but I am 100% sure Toyota Harier is Lexus RX350 because I own the 2007 RX350 and I have been riding inside the 2005 Toyota Harier while traveling in Hong Kong. These 2 are identical and the driving experience is the same.

See link for info between Harier vs RX350

I don't understand how people pay 4k for an avo turbo kit. AVO's genius, making more profit then every other kit in the market.

Blows my mind why OP cares about what other people want and afford in a car.

I don't get why people pay over $100,000 more for the same shape thing with four wheels that goes places. Crazy shit.

I don't understand why the OP thinks choices are a bad thing. If you don't think its worth it...don't bloody buy it! I went with it because I wanted a more comfortable version of the car. Nothing in a Monogram or BRZ Limited detracts from the essence of this car which is to be a fun daily driving sports car. I feel more comfortable with brighter head lights. I feel more comfortable setting my own temperature since most of my passengers think I leave my temp too cold. I carry tons of keys these days(including car keys), not needing to fish for my car keys is a bonus. Heated seats is the best feature in a cold country like Canada.

If you're criticizing that it should only cost more only if its got more power in the form of a turbo or larger displacement...that's fine but at this point in my life I don't care about power anymore. I've driven a current Mustang GT and its very nice...but its best aspect being the power...I can't freaking use on the road unless I want to go broke on tickets or lose my license. I feel really stupid having 412 hp and driving speed limit because I'd be wasting money on fuel and initial cost for potential power I can't use. Contrast to the fully loaded BRZ or FRS, I will be using those features most or all the time, that's what value is.

Bottom line, if you want more power I think Toyota and Subaru should offer that choice. If you want the least expensive version, that's great because that choice is available. Today, the Monograms are available and give FRS owners the choice of a more comfortable version of the car. Stop complaining and enjoy your car.

Everyone has different values/preferences. Once you understand that, you'll be more at peace in life.
