Oh, there is definitely at least 20lbs of it there from the thickness of those chunks.

It's not even on the chair. It's actually outside in the rain. At someone else's house. In another state.

I see he used the blow torch method. I'm going to go with the dry ice and alcohol method first. It seemed pretty straight forward in that video above.

I don't know. There are only 6 pieces in the chassis and one in each door. The ones behind the front seats and the one in the trunk are the only sizable ones. The ones in front of the seats and the strip in the trunk are pretty small.

I'm like you though, hoping they weigh about 600 pounds.

Oh!!! Just watched the video again. I thought the clip had been cut short and there was significantly more. It appears not. That can't be more than 8lbs.

Any more than 0 and it's coming out. Unless it's extremely difficult. I'm optimistic though.

Actually by making the car lighter you are making it safer in most situations. Carrying less energy into an impact is better generally speaking.

Unless you are playing chicken with a semi... then you've made an error.

Anthony, I'm not going to be nearly as serious as you, but seeing exact weights on things makes it easier to pick and choose what to remove vs consequence. I wish I could feel how this thing drives at that weight tho.

I get why you are doing this. For me if I woke up tomorrow and saw my car like that I might actually cry.

Damn dude, can't call this a "build" more of a "strip". Takes some dedication and balls to do that to a new car.

However I pity the fool who buys it if you ever decide to put it back together and resale.

Hey, did you ever get the Shorai in? I'm debating this as my next item since the stock is such a fat ass

And there she is. Fired up like a champ. I turned the A/C on full blast, max cold, with the bright lights on and had no problems.

Yeah, they're starting to accumulate. And if that saying is true, then I'm almost The Grand Master Engineer of the Universe.

I never heard/seen that saying before, but having background experience and friends in engineering, it is certainly true. Duct tape is used to fix the broken stuff later to keep it together during testing though
