here's a shot i took. it's hard to really see anything or get a good shot because it's been so dark and gloomy the past couple of days. i'll try and get a better shot once it gets sunny or you can see it in person if we both make it to the meet on the 18th.

I'm having the same problem but then I saw how beautiful it is at night.

Thanks. Its getting there - the tint and OEM Audio + (with the same finish as the exterior) are done now. All the other things I have in store for it in the short term are currently on backorder so I don't know exactly when the next upgrades will be.

I REALLY need to start carrying a real camera in the car as the cell pictures don't do it justice. In bright sunlight or in the dark with moon or streetlights its amazing. In cloudy skies its kinda meh and of course every time I've taken it out for a spin specifically with a camera for pics the weather has not cooperated.

I'd planned on wheels being one of the first things but the stock ones are starting to grow on me so while I probably will do that eventually its moved way down on the priority list... meanwhile I had not planned to upgrade the interior but the cheap feeling brake and shift boot have got to go out and some real leather in

Meanwhile, damn, I have seen at least one FR-S or BRZ every day since christmas I think. More popular here in Austin than I thought - happy to see a lot of people having fun. I am still so amazed that we can have such a fun car at such a low price. It might not be a super car or extremely fast but per dollar I will take it over any other car on the road right now.

Sounds fun. I am currently having a few small issues with the matte finish that need touch up - nothing worth writing about but I am sure the installers want it to be 100% perfect before I go to something like cars and coffee. Hopefully my BRZ will be sorted by then - if not then the 18th!

I just ordered the OFH + OFT combo from shiv. Hopefully it will be in and I will install it in the next month.

Any advice for installing headers?

I want headers but lack the know how to install them . I think I would revisit my fa20 tune if I replaced the headers + over and down pipe.

Headers are the simplest install on this car vs many other cars. You literally take off the metal plate on the bottom of the car, and undo the 4 bolts on the stock header. Spray some anti seize on the bolts to the overpipe so the nuts come off easy. Slap a pair of those Grimmspeed gaskets on with your new header, torque to 22 ft lbs and connect to overpipe. Done! I installed my JDL on two jackstands within about 45 minutes.

I need to refine my tune for a non 3" exhaust with my Invidia setup and schedule a time with FA20club.com to get it right where I want it.

Did you have to lift the engine at all? In other diy's people had mentioned needing to lift the engine with a jack.

No, you do not need to lift it if you have the overpipe in place already. You can let it sit in place. I took some vice grip pliers and held the overpipe to the header flange then put the bolts in and tightened for a good seal. My JDL Overpipe had a much easier fitment than the Nameless pipe did. You only need to lift the engine for the Nameless Downpipe/Overpipe by undoing the passenger side engine mount then jacking it up. Sometimes jacking it up also makes getting the overpipe below the engine a lot easier, but it can be done with some fiddling.

I have some good oil I bought for track use but I no longer plan to track my car. Anyone want some Motul 300v 0w20 or mazda 0w20 with high moly?

the 300v 0w20 - I got from CSG for $13 and change per liter but I must post a UOA, which is now pointless because I'm only going to drive on the street and take it easy. If anyone wants to use this oil for hard driving, I can pay for the UOA as long as you promise to take the trouble to collect a sample to send it in and post the report.

mazda 0w20 with moly, I paid $9 and change per quart. No promises to anybody on this oil.

Let me know if you're interested in those oils. I will dig out my receipts to make sure I got the prices right. They're just too good oils for normal street driving and I'd rather let them get the use they deserve.

well, i was just showing @ericmpena my drop with my eibach pro kit vs. his sportlines. couldn't get a nice shot to show the drop since everything has been so dark! but i do love the color of the car.
