I ran Power by Max Coilovers on my RX7, they were amazing! The car was a track/drift car only, however these can take some major abuse and just keep working flawlessly!! Might have to consider these for my brz build..

FWIW this stuff is all good. People assume its shit, because it looks good and is not moon pie money. I personally don't like some of the spec of some of the stuff, but I certainly wouldnt go as far as to say its crap. |

We assume it is shit because all past companies that described their product in a similar fashion ended up being shit. It is a pattern and a red flag to suspension geeks.
Good suspension companies/products are usually advertised as: -Being tested on the track...with feedback -Having a good warranty -Being designed with proper math/modeling, proper drivers (not just the jackass down the street who say "it is stiff so it should be good", proper consideration for actual use. -Damper settings and springs that work together. -Transparency with regards to spring rates and damper curves For subaru the two companies (in the US) that have met these criteria for the past 6+ years are TiC and Racecomp. I would call them suspension designers. They don't actually manufacture most of their damper/spring items. They use tried and true companies that have been building consistent dampers and springs for years (AST/KW/etc.). Red flags: -Advertising numbers of clicks (see my quoted post) -Advertising how low you can go (low =/= good handling) -Advertising stiffness over stock -Advertising vs explaining -Not showing damper curves (even when asked) -Not providing spring rates (even when asked) -Not able to explain why certain spring rates are better or worse -Not able to talk about tradeoffs in design -"oooh look at those welds" (because as you know everyone is an expert at the prettiness level of a weld) -"oooh look at that bright red/green/yellow/etc metalic paintjob" -Not telling you what the clicks adjust -Not rebuildable Now, it could be that these aren't crap. It could be that they are good. Buuut if they aren't then the advertising needs to be changed so that the pattern of crap is not so closely matched. Now I have to look up that crotchety guy who dynos everything and says that most dampers are crap... |

Two things you need to understand about Part Shop Max is:
They make suspension parts for really low drift cars. That's it. Only Part Shop Max sells Part Shop Max parts. They don't resell their products to retailers. They don't ebay their own stuff. At one point their struts were rebuildable but they found it to be easier and cheaper for the customer to just sell them new struts. All their suspension is track tested with constant feed back from drivers around the world. They have several Formula D, MSC, D1 ranked drivers using their parts on their cars. Yeah their parts look generic now, but that is because other companies have copied their products. They are constantly making changes and revisions based off feedback. I can make you a pretty long list of companies that have copied products that Part Shop Max has made or innovated in design. |

I'm curious to see how these compare to the Stance LCAs. I like the fact that they can make the car go 15 mm lower though.

Here is a good example of how to advertise your suspension. http://mcasuspension.com/blue-series/ MAX's just looks like all the other cheap suspension.

Well if it counts I use these coils as a daily and for drifting.
They're really responsive and give a smooth ride (a somewhat stiff ride). Being said I did slam the car for performance and looks, to reduce body roll make a very low center of gravity. I don't know much about coils but from owning serveral coils, FEAL, function and form. I would rate these very well. It also depends on your application.

I had PBM's on an s13 and loved them compared to tein. I also drifted that car. Now a days I'm into auto-xing and wanna try HPDE and wouldn't mind a set of these as a decently priced coil with a good past experience and consisdering I mainly dd my frs.
