Try japanparts or rakuten.
I usually use rakuten to buy parts from Japan but if you don't read Japanese it might be pretty tough. I know they have a separate English page albeit with only a limited number of products available. There ARE two guys on there who sell at below RRP (as seen here: http://www.trdparts.jp/english/top.html) and from what I've seen, they aren't con artists.
I am sure there are others but that's it from me for now.
Hope that helps!

Goodridge SS brake lines and AP Super 600 fluid install (01-17-14)

Goodridge SS brake lines and AP600 fluid install

I had to replace my SS brake lines because the right rear line ruptured during my last track event. Something might have punctured it, or it just burst, I'll never know. I ordered Goodridge US spec lines now, as the Asian Spec Goodridge did not fare so well. The US spec is more robust, and does not have a rubber cover. While I'm at it, I also drained my brake fluid and replaced it with AP Racing Super 600 fluid.

Here's the diff with the US spec and the Asian spec:

Installed:

Pedal feel is still the same, as I was using SS brake lines already. I will see how the fluid fares at the Touge Battle. I'll give a review about it after the event.

Touge Battle Event, Goodrige SS brakelines, and AP racing super600 brake fluid review

Touge Battle Event, Goodrige SS brakelines, and AP racing super600 brake fluid review (01-18-14)

I decided to enter this event because I wanted to review the Goodridge brakelines and AP Racing brake fluid I put on the car. The guys from Fuel came up with this interesting format based on the Japanese mountain pass races. This time though, we use the race track and they let the first car go with a 5 second delay. You run two times, first as a lead car, and after as the chase car. The winner is determined if you close or widen the gap depending on what position. Brackets are done via time trials, and cars with the closest times are paired together.

Time trial run:

Time trials went well, with a new set of tires enabling me to push harder. The brake lines did very well also, giving me a consistent feel the whole day. The AP racing super 600 fluid did great, I went the whole day without any hint of fade. This made me decide to put off getting the big brake kit and use a more aggressive pad instead.

After time trials I was paired with a WRX, and we proceeded to race. We posted consistently similar times and had to resort to run 5 times to determine the winner. It all boiled down to the last run, both of us getting ragged trying to push both cars to the limit. The gaps WRX went faster the last run and relegated me to 2nd place. Nevertheless, I had a blast racing with this format as it is vastly different from time attack because of the added pressure of chasing or being followed, it's the closest thing to grid racing in my opinion.

Here's one of the runs with the WRX:

I really had a blast doing this event, having the most fun at the track to date.

Some parting pics:

Special thanks to Fuel, Time Attack Manila, Speedworks Engineering, Achilles Tires, and Autokozmetix!

Installed ACRE 900C Brake Pads (01-21-14)

I was supposed to install these pads before the Touge Battle, but they did not arrive on time. I have another track event coming up this week so no biggie. Will get the chance to bed them first on the street before the Toyota Vios Cup this 25th. I've heard great things from Acre, most of my friends are using them, so I decided to try the 900C. A step up from the Dixcel ES pads I had, which was rated to 600C, the Acres are supposed to be rated to 900C. With the great performance of the AP fluid, and the more aggressive compound from the acre pad,(carbon-mettalic, compared to organic from dixcel) I should get better performance. I know it's not a fair comparison, as the Dixcel R should be the equal here, I'm just stepping up from the ES, I'll give a review after the trackday.

Here's a few snaps from my Iphone. Sorry for the low quality pics.

Here's some specs from Acre:
* Formula 900C
* Material: Carbon Graphite Metallic With Titanium & Ceramic
* For Street & Circuit Use
* Applicable Rotor Temperature: 0-900C
* Friction Coefficient: 0.40-0.60u

Vios Cup and Acre Brake Pad review (1-28-14)

Vios Cup and Partial Acre Brake Pad review (1-28-14)

The 86/BRZ Philippines car club was invited to one of Toyota Philippines largest events for the year. Called the Vios Cup, it is similar in format to the Toyota Celebrity Grand Prix Race held yearly in Long Beach California. This time they are unveiling the Vios, a economy car here which they tuned into race form.

They event was held in Clark International Speedway, using the short configuration. The 86/BRZ club was invited to use the track after the race proper was done. The club came out in full force and packed the track. It was surreal seeing a lot of 86s on the track at the same time.

I was able to bed the pads the night before the event, and also on the way to the track.

Although I only used the short track in this review, the Acre pads performed really well in my opinion. Compared to the Dixcel pad, the initial bite is a tad bit more aggressive, but the difference is clear when you fully depress the brake pedal. The Acre Pad bites more violently when you stab at the pedal, and the feel seems to be pretty solid. The pedal stayed the same during the 6 laps, but this was the short track, so I cannot fully review the pads yet. When cold, the pads seem to bite less and squeal a tiny bit. Up to temperature, the pads are willing to bite and stay quiet. It seems to dust less than the Dixcel, but I'm not sure yet also because of the track configuration.
A great track performing pad for sure, I'll review it some more and post my opinion when I get a full trackday on it.

Hey Tye, I love following your build boss! It's great to see what you guys are doing in the Philippines. I grew up on an island off the coast of Brunei, but most of our supplies came from Manila. Well, supplies like Reese's and Kit Kat bars and ice cream came from Manila. The important stuff!

Anyway, I have a question about the wiper stalk... How often do you hit it instead of the upshift paddle? I constantly turn the damn wipers on? My big dumb American hands. LoL.
I want to change the angle of the wiper stalk a little bit or something. Did your steering wheel swap help?

Salamat boss!
