Pretty sure it should work but I'm not 100%. I can't comment on whether it is a functional improvement but it does seem to be unique to the BRZ (not a blanket design across other Subarus like the Impreza). I'm happy with my stock V-brace but do like when the OEM engineers parts unique to this car.
HI,

I thought this "STi - flexible draw stiffener" is under the body from the
picture, isnt it?

Thanks again.

I doubt the strut tower bar would have compatibility issues with that piece since they don't seem connected. Plus the tower bar doesn't affect the alignment of your struts.

Odd...it's like the trangulation braces in the engine bay...but for under the car. I wonder if aftermarket exhaust would interfere.

HI,

Which aftermarket exhaust parts you thick might interfere
(header, overpipe, front pipe...etc)?

I also plan to upgrade the aftermarket exhaust, so also need to consider this.

Thanks.

Will you consider this piece or do you think this piece will noticeable gain

something?

Thanks again.

I cannot say if it will be noticeable unless I try it out. I'm guessing mods like this might be more worthwhile/noticeable if you drive your car at 8/10ths to 10/10ths of its limit more than 50% of the time. If I had lots of extra money, yes I'd get it just to try it out. But to me, it's not worth trying because of the way I drive my car most of the time.

Did you know your car is being used as a demo pic on eBay?

Why go with ST coilovers over just having STI springs (or any other springs)? Just to get a little more drop? Why not just get lowering springs? I'm going through this debate myself. I actually plan on doing autox this summer, so I'm thinking coilovers might be nice, but not absolutely necessary. The biggest appeal is to have a tiny bit more drop over lowering springs. Was that your reasoning?

2 main reasons: 1) To be able to fit the wheel dimensions I want. 9.5 wide +45 offset wheels won't fit with stock shocks. 2) Bump travel. After experiencing the occasional bottoming out (hitting the bump stops) on my Sportlines, I decided I wanted a shock designed with suspension travel to go with its spring. The only options I could find that also met constraint #1 were coilovers.

Which reminds me, I need to update this thread w/ pics of my coilovers sometime, hehe. Though there's not much to look at since I'm temporarily back on stock wheels.

Oh yeah! Clearance. Forgot about that with dem wheelz.

I drive pretty hard all the time and I think my car will see a lot of racing this year, so I'm seriously considering coilovers, but basic ones. I'm considering HVT over ST: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1430369

Are you sure that they won't fit on stock struts? I'm not entirely convinced its not possible. I've been searching in the wheel fitment thread and I've gotten a confirmation that 9.5 +40 will fit on RCE Yellows.

I know 9.0 +42 will fit but higher offset will rub as confirmed on the stickied wheel directory. Also, TWS posted on their site that 9.0 +44 and 9.5 +45 are for the rear only.
