@SpeedR

So what methods did you use to destroy your tires by 11k miles?

We should just use sand paper and sand down the tires

This isn't true. My Toyo T1 Sports have a 20k treadwear warranty: http://toyotires.com/tire/pattern/pr...e-summer-tires

Have you tried claiming the warranty? You'll be surprised what the other companies say. I've had head headaches with continental tires, luckily I sold that car when the tires started to have accelerated wear. They were 80K mile tires, pretty much worn out by 22k miles. (4/32nds) Thank god that car was a lemon.

Along with Bridgestone tires, wore out 60K Grand touring tires in 30k Miles on my previous cars. I was told it was on the "roads you drive on as not all roads are the same".

Also, another excuse that you'll get is that sometimes tires that come from the factory aren't covered by certain warranties. I rolled over a nail on my continental tires at 8,000 miles. I had to pay out 200 dollars for ONE new one. Continental said stock tires didn't carry any warranty but replacement ones did. I was super surprised at this...

When I rolled over a nail on my Michelin Tires (on my Camry), I only had to pay 20 dollars for a new one. I believe this was after 5,000 miles.

Michelin would still give you credit based on good faith... Even if you never rotated them and neglected them like crazy. Just google the reviews on this company.

I work at a sears auto center and can confirm this method. but to make it easier for us, please write down all four DOT numbers and production dates. Also, Michelin will not warranty the tire unless you are 2/32. lastly, please try to be nice to your sales guy, we don't look forward to spending 30 minutes on the phone with Michelin but i'm personally not gonna turn away any sale, ever lol.

Yes always be nice to the guy who is going to save you hundreds of dollars!

I once when out and got a 6 pack for everyone at a firestone when they saved my ass with a warrantied turbo systom on my S4, very worth while investment.
