Vegas86 and the dry lake bed

So some members of the club went out with the local flat4 group and had a blast last weekend. So this weekend some other club members wanted to join in on the fun.. here are some of the results

before i left this morning

during the fun between sessions letting everything cool

and after all the fun

the last four members after the others took off

some other pictures

and a short video of me practicing.. its awesome what a low friction surface can do.

the car is all washed up, but i have to do the inside tomorrow and clean all the dirt i missed from it being dark.. still half a tank of gas and 10$ at the car wash has been the most fun ive had since the last autoX

Damn! I don't know about you guys but I don't even like any of my cars (even beaters) driving through any sort of dust clouds for fear of dirt getting into the engine at a faster rate.

...now this, I'd probably shit myself!

Cheers! Looks like you guys had fun.

Yes sand... Every where.. I kept my windows up.. Some did this with the windows down.. FUCK that.. It's not caked up in there by no means.. Like in the vents and all.. We tape the fresh air intake under the windshield wipers up.. But opening the door and all, there is sand in there, and of course the floor matts.. Nothing that a more then regular clean up will take care of.. Mine won't need like a big huge professional detail, like some of the guys.. I always waited a sec to let the dust settle and all before opening the doors.. But still a coating on the dash and stuff, and the driver seat from the dust and sand all over me standing there taking vids for the other guys.. All in all, I'd do it again in a heart beat

Imagine the dirt in the filter and the engine.....especially those with cold air intake. This is the reason why to never buy used car!

Was that over at Primm Lake on the State Line?

It's neat hanging out on a playa like that.

I've spent some time out at El Mirage in CA and Alvord in SE Oregon booking around on kite buggies.
