Anyone that goes to this meet running coilovers? Considering coils for my next purchase. Price is not an issue. But I'd like to keep it under 2500 including any camber adjustment I'd need to get as well. Won't be tracking most likely. But it would be nice to know that I could :P. Thinking kwv3/eibach r2/bilstein b16?
If the STs are as comfortable as stock suspension then I'd be happy spending that little. But I do like the adjustability of the more expensive options. And plus I've been reading that the ~2k+ all have as good a ride if not better than stock at specific settings. I don't want to kill my back. It's a DD. I'm open to suggestion. I'd love if someone could take me for a quick ride sometime with coils. It would be a great help with my decision making Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I won't be making any decisions for a while. I think getting coils is a big decision and not something I want to rush.
For the sake of not ruining my back, I want to go to some shows and meets and check out some cars and talk to people, see what they are running. the friggin streets of SoCal are terrible (as you already are familiar with). Stock suspension feels fine but I want it lowered, wheel gap is killing me. I'm willing to pay upwards of 2500 if I need to, to do it right. Potholes and terrible freeways are my key concern. People are saying that the higher end coils help you feel more of the road bumps but make them feel less harsh. Perfect to me. I just don't know what my cheapest option is. The less money I can spend here the more I can spend somewhere else on the car. I've got plenty of other ideas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I lower w/ eibach prokit spring and the ride is very stiff. Will install coils help the ride feel softer ?

Friday Night Meet For FT86Club FRS/BRZ - Rosemead/San Gabriel Area
That's what's been keeping me from getting pro kit. Everyone says it's very high performance but quite stiff for DD. Everyone I've talked to said spending a decent amount of money on coils will give you a softer ride than stock. You will most likely feel more of the bumps on the road but they won't feel as harsh. Not really sure about how it all works. But that's the general idea I'm getting from people. As long as I can make it ride better than stock and I can tighten em up for a mountain run or 2 I'd be super happy
Edit: oh and I gotta get rid of that darn wheel gap. Good lord haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
