Oh, and when they inspect it, they'll try to blame it on something aftermarket. I laughed when they told me my aftermarket tune is heating up the fuel pump causing the chirp. I told them, lets go test drive a 2014 FR-S, right now, and I will get it to chirp, bone stock.
As an engineer, I wish I got paid a lot.

Just to add, dealer said it was a "recall"
The papers they gave me today said:

Cause: WEAK SPRING FROM PUMP
CORRECTION: R&R HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP PER TSB T/S/B 0032-12

Here were the following part#s and descriptions:
TOY SU003-05176 PMP AY-FUEL ($1302)
TOY SU003-00342 PIPE AY-FUEL DLVY (58.18)
TOY SU003-0347 GSKT-FUEL PIPE (5.72)
TOY SU003-00290 GSKT-INT MANIF (17.99)
TOY SU003-00316 GSKT-THROT CHMBR (14.80)

Let you guys know if the chirp comes back (91octane, 10% ethanol max from cali)

Mistaken I was lol. I never had them but for a day after filling up with different gas. It's one if those things that I am happy I do not have but if I did, I would not keep going back and back for new pumps until a real fix was out.

Good to know something else happened other than a gas change.

Lol 132 miles on the insulated pump (installed last week) and I could hear a slight chirp as I was about to park in the lot. Only a matter of time I guess. Sorry guys no fix.

Hell if I know. They may come back once the weather warms up, I have no idea.

Mine disappeared at around 10k miles, 6 months of ownership. Before you play the temp card they disappeared in June before a couple weekends of >105 degree driving fun.

OEM pump, pre green-dot, 12/12 build, 91 octane up to 10% ethanol.

Just like to offer a counterpoint to the guys on their 4th pump, you don't have to get it replaced, Toyobaru are consistent in stating that the chirping has no effect on system operation.

Went back a couple pages to find others, if you care to dig back further you'll find more posts. People don't really check on this thread regularly other than to argue or post that they have crickets and complain about dealerships.

After many fill ups, I've gotta say the TCW3 oil is helping a ton. I appropriated a small bottle from my gf that has a built in eye dropper, put a couple squirts in before each fill up and the car is SO MUCH quieter now. It's still a wee bit noisy at a dead stop when it's quiet out, but I'm no longer aggrivated at stop lights and drive through lines. Sure, it's a little inconvenient and that oil STINKS if you get it on your hands at all, but so far it's been worth it.

What about using fuel stabilizer as an additive? Anybody try this? Wonder if it would help kill the crickets.

I use Star-Tron in my boat which is an enzyme based stabilizer. Supposed to be better for it purpose than others. It's for winterizing the boat in the fall, it's a 92 gallon tank so I can't take any chances.

Is that also a lubricant? That seems to be a big part of the issue.

I'm going I try adding some Star-Tron to my gas when the next incidence of chirping occurs. It's been quiet lately.

I continue to find the same thing but I measure it out and add ~1oz for every 5 gallons of new gas

Maybe I'll increase my dosage and see if that makes it even quieter. I was doing 2 caps worth, but that's a bitch to pour.
