My Blizzaks are still sitting in my garage ,unused... I don't find the stock Bridgestones too bad after I put 4 bags of water softener salt in the trunk. I haven't felt the need to put the winter tires on! I may put the stock tires back on the stock wheels, and sell the new blizzaks on the Konig wheels. I'll see how the rest of the winter goes!!

I'm up for some bowling, pending date. I'm liking my GT Radial winter tires, though I have yet to try them in any real snow, I immediately noticed a really big difference in sloppy parking lots.

The BRZ was just not working out with the kids and I traded it in for a WRX yesterday. I have almost new Weathertech floor mats for the front that I will part with locally (Maple Grove) for $70. I paid over $100 for them about three months ago.

$23K for the trade-in which really sucked, but it was the best I could get. Two other dealers quoted me $20K and $21K, and this was on a 13 BRZ Limited with 5K miles on the odometer, window tint, and clear bra. The reality is that privately I am seeing similar mileage Limited's online for $24K and new Limiteds can be negotiated to $25K or even less right now. Because I traded it in, I got a $1.5K tax break towards the WRX, and I don't think I could have sold it for more than $24.5K privately.
If you can wait until spring it should help I think. I really wanted a hatchback WRX and could not wait until Spring since the dealers stopped taking orders in September and they are trickling in right now and many are accounted for since Subaru is not making WRX hatches with the 2015 model. 2014 WRX production should cease sometime between February and March I am told. I was able to get the dealer to come down a little on the WRX hatchback which was pretty good because they are very hard to come by and are selling within a day or two once they hit the lots. |

I tried that but my Vin came up blank when I entered it in the system (it told me to contact Subaru of America). Morries Minnetonka Subaru told me they would give me $24K for my car over the phone but they also would not budge on the WRX price (and they did not have any hatches, only sedans coming in at the time) whereas St Cloud Subaru was willing to negotiate on the WRX price and they actually had a base WRX hatch in stock. So in the end I may have saved a couple hundred waiting but finding a base WRX hatch right now that is not accounted for is hard. Premium's and Limited's might be easier to find but I wanted a base as I have some suspension upgrades planned for Spring. 2014 sedans are easier to find and dealers seem more willing to work on price.
