They're sticking AIDS in motorcycles as well now.
Getting the same kind of "OMG you got the model that doesn't have AIDS!" on MC forums too. Don't have too much patience with them either. When did responsibility leave the building?

The difference between cars that never had driving aids and modern cars is that modern cars are designed with the aids from the ground up. They don't make a perfect car then put driving aids in. These cars are designed to have the minimal aids on all the time. Concessions are made in the brakes, chassis, and suspension. Where these components would be less than optimal without aids the aids compensate, and this become part of the car's design, not an afterthought. Sure you can turn off traction control and vsc and still be within the car's tolerance but anything more is driving the car in a manner that it's just not meant to be driven which puts other people in danger if you drive on public roads.
The pedal dance is not meant to be used for driving either. It's a diagnostic mode. At the track all of the other drivers have informed consent and know what they are getting into. Mom in her minivan who has to get out of your way as you spin out from locking brakes that aren't designed to be used without a functioning ABS module does not know. But you know better because you have testicles of steel. |

This isn't a stealth bomber, that without aids would be unusable. It's a simple car. Front engine, rear wheel drive. It doesn't need traction control. It isn't so inheriently unbalanced that it needs ebd or stability. Unbelievable. Let me guess, a car salesman told you that? |

And the whole post was talking about disabling aids that aren't meant to be disabled, not cars that were never designed to rely on aids in the first place. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4 |

You also do realise that this car can engage ABS based on g-forces, BEFORE slip is detected? The car THINKS that something is about to happen because of the g experienced under braking. It doesn't realise that you may have bigger tyres, or semi slicks. It does do this. I've experienced it first hand. Without these aids active, my car brakes much better. |

You're arguing about something you believe in but don't understand. My previous post that you quoted contains facts that contradict your point of view, so you simply chose to ignore them; despite quoting them. |

If you have to pull a fuse to disable something then it's something the car is not designed to be without. Is that simple. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4 |
