Looking on the ************.com site, I didn't see anything that said specifically you couldn't change it in the FAQ. Closest was this:
============================
What options will be included with my purchase? Do I get to choose?

Initially you will be able to select your color and transmission. Please work with your dealer to personalize your FR-S as accessories become available closer to the FR-S on-sale date.
============================

So, you could read that either way I suppose.

It did specifically say you couldn't change your dealer which makes sense because they are wanting to give every dealer a chance to have a "First 86er".

I would if I were you. That was my plan if mine hadn't shown up. You have to respond to the letter to get future goodies.

Section 4c on the start of page two states:

c. Color and transmission selections of the Vehicle are final.

If the specific dealer holds to this is another story.

On the vehicle request and deposit agreement with the first 86 paperwork I received, page 2 item 8 last sentence states that..customer hereby agrees that the color and transmission choice of the vehicle cannot be changed.

Yup. It was in the agreement on the original sign-up, as well as the FAQ as well. I don't want Raven anymore, lulz.

I wonder if us on the First 86 list will all receive cars that have the VIN production numbers of 1 through 86? This would be a great way to document the history of these 86 cars.

Yeah, that's exactly why I don't like those number plates. Unless you get the first or the last, it's nothing special.

The VIN will be sequential, so everybody's going to know anyway assuming you can get them posted somewhere. They may not necessarily by all in a straight row though, as I'm not sure there will be a difference in the VINs between brandings.

For me, I'm happy to get any one of the 86. If you had the opportunity, would you care which one of the first 100 (name your favorite vehicles) you had available to you now, if you could go buy one?

Me, I'd love to have one of the first 100 Camaros, Mustangs, 240Z's, Corvettes.....
