Hitting another BRZ is pretty safe, a Lincoln Navigator not so much. |

The good news is that I bet our cars hold up surprisingly well to own-goal crashes, being light with a fairly stiff chassis. You'd think the passenger compartment would hold together pretty well, and I'd be much more comfortable with the idea of rolling my BRZ than I would some SUV or minivan with a huge greenhouse. I know our family van has a bad reputation for the roofs shearing off in rollovers and decapitating all the occupants. I try not to roll it :P IDK, I guess it depends on what risks you are more likely to be exposed to. I tend to think more about one car crashes because sportscar, and because I generally drive extremely conservatively on the highway and feel pretty good about my odds of just avoiding serious accidents there as a result. I guess there's no telling when you might be T-boned at an intersection or something, though. If only we all drove little featherweights! It's crazy to see some of the crashes that people just walk away from in modern racecars... |

This car is not a family car... getting in and out of the back seat is really hard.
In 5 years... maybe you can pick up a corolla or something and drive this for the time being

A Dinan M5 (one of the older ones) with a bored + stroked V10 would be fucking cool. I mean, sure: it's a thirty thousand dollar engine, but what the hell. You can't beat a RWD family car that hits 60 in under four seconds now can you? And by then everyone will just look at you and think, "What's that ancient BMW?"

@Ganthrithor you know the best part about owning that M5?
Having a cool second car to drive while the M5 is in the shop for expensive repairs. |

Alright guys the test drive wait is over lol! I officially put 7 miles on a FRS 10 series! Wow it was exactly what I was hoping it would be A very similar feeling to my former rx8 imo. Of course numbers were discussed yet I didn't leave with it I promised myself I wouldn't. It's too bad scion has no haggle since 14s are out etc.
I'm most interested in the brz limited though so we'll see. .. Last edited by italy7; 12-30-2013 at 09:10 PM. |
