However, what I was trying to say is that I believe the poster (which appears to be female ....) has a good attidude about driving a car (her past Miata or present FR-S) which has "limited power" but is good on the curves.

Personally, I drove my stock NC, MX-5 (Miata) for 88,000 miles throughout the Western US & Canada and had a blast. Now, with my FR-S, I plan on driving my limited powered, good cornering machine, for many ah more curvy miles ....

My reference was to the post originally from Tromatic that she quoted. If you re-read that specifically you'll see where I was coming from.

This car is a blast to drive right out of the showroom and may be perfect for some just that way. But it also happens to take modifications extremely well including increasing power output. A blanket statement that claims anyone desiring more than stock power "can't f-ng drive" is just plain stupid. For what it's worth, my car running E85 is really close to the "extra 50" that this thread originally referenced and for my purposes it is much more suited to my needs than before.

Anyway, I'm with you and agree that any excuse to get out and drive is a good one in my book. But if the weather is great it may be the 427 that gets the call.

Oh, OK ..... I now see .....

Yep, @Tromatic 's post that got drug along seemed to have lost something along the way ...

Yep, the lack of knowledge about anime characters can date one .....

However, I have an advantage ..... that I have access to the knowledge base of four generations. Yep, me (1); mrs humfrz (2) (although she is only 7 years my junior; my daughter (3); and my granddaughters (4).

BINGO ...... an anime .....isn't it .. @marebear.....??

Now, let's get out there and drive .....

It would be nice to see more power/torque in the twins by the time I graduate. I don't need the FRS/BRZ to be a pony car killer, but a 0-60 time from this decade isn't too much to ask for.

Doesn't the 2015 WRX make 268hp/258lbf at reasonable RPM with a turbo of the same (similar?) engine? Tell subaru to fix the cooling issues and make it an option to slap that baby in there and i'll pay for the extra cost.

"We want to keep it an affordable sports car" OK, cool, continue to offer a N/A version but i'll throw my money at you if you give me some quality boost.

I still see lots of options for the model refresh...new 2.5L from the 2015 WRX STI but NA....TRD supercharged 2.0L.....2.0L turbo from the 2015 WRX.....2.5L turbo from the upcoming STI (In my dreams lol)
