LED Strip Teased

I suppose it's the appeal of getting what
we don't have that drives us to work harder
to achieve the things we want.
So then we spend our hard earned money
on something as basic as a set of headlights.
Not because they'll make our cars go faster,
or run more efficient.. no.

No, it's simply, for happiness.
The joy of knowing that it adds just that
little touch of refinement to the overall package.
So who can't understand that?
Women have their shoes, bags, and clothes.
Men? Well, we have.
Car parts!
Thirst, sated. For now.

GT86 lights!

The bumper is the hardest part!

Cosmetic surgery, cause we all love headlights.

Damn, you so freakin sexy!

Looks so mean now. Grrr~

LED strip, check!

Fallin in love all over again.

December Rain

Just snapping some night time pictures of my
newly acquired JDM headlights. Odd thing, that is also
saving me a lot of money is the fact that for some
reason this set of japanese GT86 headlights have
a cutoff for left hand drive vehicles. Win win!

Tears of joy.

Japanese owners are jealous.

Turtle wax still beading water after 2 months of no washing.

LHD GT86 lights?!

Really enjoy your enthusiasm in all the posts. Wish I had time to make a build thread for my Whiteout.

Actually it took me a while to make mine as well. I didn't start mine from the beginning of ownership; frankly I was kind of envious of the folks who kept such a good record from the get go.

So I actually had to do a big overhaul. Luckily I organized my photos as I took them, so it wasn't too bad.

Winter Skies

Winters in Oregon are pretty mellow. Once every few years
we'll get bad snow or ice storms, but this isn't a place
to even see negative winter temps.

Well, this is going to be a quick post only.
I had my camera in my car, so I figured I'd take
a few pictures after I got off work in my work parking lot.

Silhouettes~

Lighting is great in this parking lot.

Thanks!

I was wondering, what brand of spacers were you running when you had the Rotas on? I'm looking to get some to fix my offset for some good flushing.

If the FRS came in the BRZ Limited trim with the GT86 Headlights....I would have got an FRS. Love the GT86 Headlights with Whiteout! Looks clean man!

They were Eibach spacers. How much do you need to flush them up by?

I probably need a 20 or 25 in the rear. Likely a 10 or 15 in the front. These wheels are 7" with +35 offset, so just 13mm more poke than stock.

Lighten Up!

I finally decided to upgrade my miscellaneous exterior
lights to LED lights. Ordered my lights from Vicious LED;
shipped in 2 days flat. Certainly makes the car
look more classy, however my side markers are
6000K temp, which doesn't fit too well with my
other 5000K temp lighting. Oh well! Maybe I'll switch
over to amber bulbs later on.
I also bought the clear Helix side markers.

Poppin' out side markers with no breakage!

@DarrenDriven lending a helpful hand.

Phantom menace

All the better for police to identify.

Side marker color temp no match.

Those LEDs though...

The whole package! Light em up.

Who is TOM?

Well TOM isn't a person nor a mouse with a 'friend'
named Jerry. TOMS stands for Tachi Oiwa Motor Sport.
And all you need to know,
is that they have catered high
quality and designed parts for Toyota cars since
they were founded in 1974.
40 years of TOMS goodness.

So I was doing some research and found
that @GuerillaRacing was one of the few
dealers state side to source TOM'S parts.
So I rounded up my pennies and
ordered a front lip from www.guerillaracing.com.
Great vendor with great communication
and turnaround time.
Goes hand in hand with the awesome
TOM'S jdm goodness!

The waiting game. Luckily it took 4-6 days rather than 4-6 weeks!

Big F-ing Box! Still fit in my car though.

Made in Japan. I hope!

Comes with the hardware. (As any decent part should!)

I'm probably going to need some help reading these instructions.

NOT pre-painted. Just raw ABS plastic color.

I'm liking the quality already.

Test fit. Like a glove.

Excuse my dirty car. Winter driving.
