Variety is the spice of life.

I actually like how quiet the Primacy tire is compared to the GForces, and it's no doubt more fun on the street with less grip.

Thinking about selling my Enkeis wrapped to go lighter/wider/stickier... 17x9 +42 with 245's.

Yeah I do miss the stock tires for that fun factor. I just am not a fan of the stock wheels themselves. The tires are fine.

17x9. Hmmm...

What about 245's on the enkeis?

My track set is Rota Titans in that size shod with 245/40 V710's. (I trailer to the track) They weigh exactly the same as the stock wheels and Primacys (40.2 lbs) . In my opinion they are the ideal size for most of the Southeast tracks, Roebling, RA and Sebring.

I would prefer more sidewall on a 17" wheel. I think it makes a significant difference in ride quality on the street around here. Plus I'm really digging the 5 spoke design of the Mach V Awesome. At 17.8 pounds they are nice and light.

@Mach V Dan I'd prefer to try and find a nice used set before going new, but if you're running low on the gunmetal stock please let me know

I've been wanting to try out the Dunlop Direzza Z2 as a street legal track tire since I don't trailer to tracks. I've read good reviews but it's been a while since I've researched so there may be better compounds out now.

First world problems... Miss your black FR-S that you sold to free up capital to build a Crawford motor in your $60k+ 10 Series FR-S and get a BAC Mono next summer!

You've come a long way since the Conquest!

Thanks for the compliments.

Bro in 1997 I was 22 with no money but i figured out a way to work and pay for a Toyota supra twin turbo. Passion is a powerful force

Yeah the black in the gt86 got more positive attention than my silver one. The black looks more rich to me as well. Subjective I know. I'm having a blast with the 88 conquest cause that's all I got for now.

I've been researching tires for the past two months to the point where I go cross-eyed, and have narrowed down to the RS3 or the RE-11A.

I'm using the OEM wheels as my track wheels, since theyre already a bit chewed up by the corrosive brake dust that the Hawks put out, but I will still drive to and from the track on my track tires and wheels. I'm looking at the RS3 first, as from what I have read, they are still drivable in the rain, but no performance whatsoever. Since I'm primarily only driving an hour and 1/2 to and from the track, these should suffice.

However, the second on my list is the RE-11A, as they apparently take heat much better than the ZII, and have a little bit better wear than the ZII as well, and are good in the rain. If I ONLY had 1 set of wheels and tires for both DD and track, that would be my choice.

What about the BFG Rivals?
They seem like a natural progression for me if I were to remain brand loyal, and they are a popular new extreme performance tire.
