My FRS registration says Toyota as well

I hear ya.

The Scion badge never did bother me ..... I think it's crisp.

As far as what other folks think, over here, in cowboy & Indian country, the Bubbas & Billy Bobs haven't a clue what a Scion is. So, no negative stigma......

I find humor in the fact that the two best handling cars made by Toyota do not carry a Toyota badge (here in the 48). One carries the Lexus badge and one carries the Scion badge.

Actually, it's probably the smartest thing that Toyota is doing. By segmenting the market they can extract maximum sales...

Don't think this isn't done on purpose.

Read: current cars being produced. If one were to throw in historical cars, the MR2 wouldn't be very high on that list.

I looked on the inside of the engine bay and mechanical parts to only see Subaru and Toyota in the engine bay, so I removed the scion badges from Hachiroku

I owned a Scion since 2005 with a tC RS1. I absolutely loved that car, and if it didn't end up upside down on a freeway, I'd still be driving it today. I never had a problem with it since Toyota today is associated with the Prius and the Camry. Sensible, boring, high MPG, A-to-B cars. Nowhere in anything Toyota makes does "exciting" or "fun" come to mind. With the Scion brand, it was all about being quirky, fun, and now sporty. It's the youth/cool market and has done decently well, considering it doesn't have its own dealerships (like Lexus does) and has to sit in the kids corner of only SOME Toyota dealers.

If the twins are any indication, people don't seem to have a problem with Scion either, considering the FR-S is quite handily out-selling the BRZ, despite being practically identical.

I like the Scion logo. I think it looks cool and different. I like the brushed look instead of shiny gaudy chrome. But above all, I LOVE the FR-S. No matter what badge it has, I love this car.

I rebadged front, rear, steering wheel and wheel caps to Toyota. Also added the Toyota and GT86 badges to the trunk. Replaced the floor mats with JDM. Carpet trunk mat says Scion but I could just take it out. That leaves only the small Scion text on the touchscreen. I can live with that. I'm not anti-Scion. My girlfriend is purchasing a '14 tC in a couple weeks largely on my recommendation. (She wants an FR-S but doesn't want RWD in the snow)

My problem with the Scion badges is that the car is simply not a Scion. It was plugged into a declining brand to boost sales figures. I'd have just axed Scion and sold the tC as a Toyota moving forward but the bosses at Toyota still think there is hope for Scion or at least are willing to continue taking a hit to have a "hip youth brand". The xB still sells decent for whatever ungodly reason but they have no plans for a 3rd gen... The xD and iQ are terrible sellers. But it's the "hip youth brand"! (that's not so hip now with Kia and Hyundai all over that)

Meh, my title says Toyota as the make so why not have the badges to go along?

I rebadged, but painted the toyota emblems flat black (car is black). Subtle look but a great improvement.
