me too! I bought new and drove a 1995 Honda Prelude vtec. In the following 18 years I put on 164,000 original owner miles; but when the transmission started buzzing I knew it was time to give her up. I was afraid I would never find another car I could love... then I saw the BRZ.

Over the next 6 months, while waiting for the BRZ pricing to soften; I drove the prelude despite the buzzing trannie, the stares (that buzz was loud, turned heads), a slow oil leak - she was a great car right up to the end.

1995 Prelude styling was that car's peak, if you ask me.

Hey everyone, my name is Nick and I'm new here. I've had my 2013 BRZ Limited in WR Blue for about a month now, and live in San Jose, CA in the east foothills.

Spot me by my license plate... CPN SLOW (yes, a Top Gear reference). It's still on my old car, but should be transferred onto my BRZ in a week or two.

Here she is up on Mt. Hamilton a few days ago:

I kept the Prelude for over 10 years and about 150k miles. Once the 'lude started getting the rust around the rear fenders (and my wife and I started a family), I traded it to my 12 years younger brother for an Accord... and he promptly broke a timing belt (the clutch started to go and he replaced the clutch but not the timing belt. He just loved to rev and dump... even though I warned him repeatedly.). He's now got a strong running replacement H22 in it with 40k miles and is doing a restoration.

He thinks the lude will take the BRZ in a straight line. We'll see... lol. He also thinks the BRZ is "sexy" - I stopped by his work one day and he said the co-workers couldn't stop talking about it.

Sure, why not?

Newish to the forums, probably picking up a BRZ in March or so after I sell off my current car, a 2006 Honda s2000. I love my car to death but it's my daily and the lack of room and noise from the top is grating on me. I used to have my fiancee's car for anytime I needed room but we called things off and now that it's my only option again it's getting to be an inconvenience.

After searching around and being fairly set on an 08/09 BMW M3 for a while I ended up at the BRZ since I could buy it brand new, have a tiny monthly payment (the s2000 is paid off) and still have enough left over to make the car my own. I went and drove one a few weeks ago and loved how similar it felt to the s2000 in a lot of ways.

Here's my s2000:

Im deff new to this and have been looking for things to do to my car. Saw this and liked it because I did the exact same thing! Had a 2009 rubicon with tires and traded it in for my brz about 6 months ago and i love it and cant wait to do stuff to it! cant believe i havent yet!

Picked up my Christmas present yesterday. Subaru BRZ 2013 manual in red.

Been wanting this car ever since it was revealed last year. Local dealer had the last 2013 model left and it was discounted with some goodies. I was told this is one of two red Subaru BRZs in the whole country and they didn't bring anymore red ones for the 2014 models. And can you imagine all Toyota GT 86 models here in Kuwait are auto only!
The car is equipped differently compared to the U.S. models and its like half limited half standard. It has the AUTO A/C but the crappy Fujitsu stereo with no BT, no seat warmers (useless here anyways) and no auto dim mirror, but it does have the coveted red stitching on the door speakers. All I wanted was the AUTO A/C because I liked the switches design, so I'm happy!

Dealer was kind enough to let me practice the clutch in the parking lot just to get my rust off. It's been 3 years since I drove manual. Still stalled about 3 times on the roads but thankfully no issues or accidents! This morning I didn't stall once but my shifting is poor, need to smoothen it out!

Love the car so far. It's so nimble. At first I thought it wouldn't have enough power, but to be honest I don't feel that way anymore. It has enough power for me.
It will be my daily driver so no mods except stereo/speakers, oh and maybe an updated air filter or intake system. Most everything else is off limits according to the dealer in keeping up with warranty.

Good times. Just won an auction for a BRZ Limited on Friday from an out of state dealership; can't wait to get behind the wheel.

Hey man,

Glad to see you amongst us. This place has loads of info.. Don't say I didn't warn you about the mod bug. Read that you haven't driven m/t in 3 years and that you're a bit rusty.

My first suggestion I you have the time is to do the Clutch Peddle adjustment. It seriously shortens the amount of travel needed do disengage and re-engage the clutch. It takes all of 10 minutes and takes 2 wrenches. I'd do it before getting too used to your stock peddle feel.

As for one of 2 red brz's in the country.. I think the dealer got you on that one, cause we have a few guys on here with em.. But I will say.. That is one damn good looking color..

Wanted to say hello! Got my 2013 BRZ two weeks ago and its now got a little over 1000 fun miles on it!
First thing I did to it was get a protective nano cermamic coating on the exterrior, engine bay and interrior. After a wax this thing shines!

Ive been driving a Tundra for the past 4 years and really missed a quick car as well as doing work on it. I plan to autocross again as well! So much fun!
