I just received and installed their downpipe and it's very nice.

Not sure what their deal is with doing 5 prototypes or however many.

They have alluded to at least 3 different release dates. I can wait since I want the best header for the money and nothing yet has really impressed me.

Sounds like a small shop led by engineers who have a hard time with timelines and have too many projects going at once.

Anybody who is serious about taking over my credit, its $1300 and I got it during the black friday sale. I will transfer it for what I paid for it and Nameless has already approved the transfer.

PM me. Will not sell right away, waiting a few more weeks for some news from Nameless.

This is the only thing as of late that could be considered any time of "release" date, and it's not even that. It says a few things coming down the pipe in the next 2 weeks OR SO. That was posted on the 6th. It's barely been the two weeks. Nothing was said about a December release date.

Just went through all of @Ryan@Nameless posts and went back until April of @Jason@Nameless posts and no where have they said anything about a particular day, week, or month about a release date. You sure you guys aren't just coming up with these "release dates" on your own???

They are putting in the time to come out of the gate on top. I for one am glad they stopped feeding other manufacturers ideas. Seemed like a few weeks after every update for a while there a new nameless knockoff hit the market.
Sure there are only so many ways to skin a cat, but at least to me it was obvious they ended up paying the development cost for some other folks. If you don't have the patience to get the best then by all means buy a knockoff of an early prototype, but you can't reasonably blame them for what has happened.
That is just a bunch of sensationalistic fanboism. It's funny, they took a shot at P&L a few months into the development cycle claiming they produced a knockoff, but the truth is that they started their development cycle at the same time as Nameless did. The header began it's life as a front mounted turbo manifold and was modified to be a NA header as well. There are only so many ways you can route 4 pipes to be EL and go to the front of the vehicle at the same time once you take engine clearance, the skidplate, and the oil pan in to account.

Real or imagined I think its a reasonable explanation for their drop in updates on the forum. I too said there are only so many ways to skin this cat, but over sharing can still remove any competitive advantage you may gain from a cool idea. I'm only saying I understand why this could lead to them being tight lipped.

Another reason may be how this community takes statements out of context and creates their own deadlines and such to then crucify nameless for not living up to. It must be far more frustrating for nameless than it is for us.

At stake for us is when we get our cool header. They have far more riding on this than each of us do. They have continued to release ft86 and non ft86 parts at a steady pace, while striking up a partnership with cosworth, but people here scream that they are doing nothing and we want our header.

Don't know much about the knockoff claims, but they did not start production at the same time, or at least didn't post about it.

Nameless - 6/19/12

JDL - 10/30/12; almost 4 1/2 months after Nameless.

Just saying, 4 months is plenty of time to copy someone's design. Not saying that happened because I will never know. JDL makes a quality header for sure. And like you said, only so many ways to route the piping.

P&L

Not JDL.

There are significant differences such as tubing choice (P&L using Schedule 10 piping).

It's just routed based on space. P&L's background is turbo manifolds AFAIK, and they went forward to high mount the turbo for drainage. It's also 4-1 vs Nameless being 4-2-1.

JDL and Nameless designs are also very different.

My bad, I read P&L but for some reason JDL stuck in my head when searching.

Didn't even bother thinking about how the JDL looked compared to the Nameless.

Post 2492: First time they stated shooting for a December release.

Post 2521: Picture of the final header design, also stated still on track for a December release.

Post 2573: States once again of track for the release this month and its "sooner than we know".

Post 2592: Got tubing back from mandrel bender and confirmed they are in the home stretch now.

Attached Picture: Screen shot of a personal email once again confirming they are still on track for a release by the end of this month (being December)

Theres 5 different times they stated the above, need anymore?

Holy hell... the v1 JDL EL header looked NOTHING like any nameless product. It was completely original. I haven't seen any design that is similar. Nameless is not the only shop that can invent something for fucks sake.
