ecutek end-user editing is free to existing customers, roughly $650 to anyone starting out with nothing (presuming you don't pay for a pro tune). adding $400 on top of that gives you racerom, which is not autoblip. it is the ability to create your own autoblip, or whatever else you want using custom maps. it's not a collection of features, it is a platform on which you build features.

ok now back on topic

Well, another week has ended and no header. After Nameless made the announcement of a partnership with Cosworth and promised a December release of the header, I really thought it would be out by now. My office is basically shut down for the rest of the year and many other businesses are too. I am chalking this up to another broken promise by Nameless. I am very disappointed. Looks like none of us will have a Nameless header on order from Santa this year again. Nameless crew if you are reading this, please tell me I am wrong.

I don't see it coming out this year either as promised. Spoke to Ryan yesterday and no positive news for a release within the next 11 days. Also disappointed since i've been holding off on tuning and the last piece I need for months now.

I have a $1300 credit at Nameless that most likely isn't refundable that might be for sale (transferrable between accounts with Nameless) if I don't get an email letting me know its on its way soon. Will sell at a discounted price of course

Must have been really bad news if you can't give it another month... Wanna share?

No bad news, didn't mean for it come off that way. Just didn't get an answer if they were still on track for a release this month like I got earlier this month, so wouldn't consider it good news either.

Plus without any dyno updates of the prototype header, just don't see them finishing that as well as building the rest of the headers for everyone on their list of first to receive in such short time around the holidays, but I certainly could be wrong.

We all have waited so long and it keeps getting pushed out further and further so what happens if this prototype doesn't meet all their goals of cost, performance and ability to manufacture? Back to the drawing board.

I figure ill give it one more shot before I move onto the best (in my opinion of course) header thats readily available. So as they suggested, I should try and line a buyer up for the credit transfer if I choose to go with another header or FI instead of staying NA.

Sorry for the confusion, I have a few of their parts on my car and they are absolutely top notch, but there has to be a limit of how long to wait for these before I go elsewhere like many people have already done.

I don't get why they don't just release a header and update it as it goes. I'm sure that would piss some people off but their internal development seems to just mirror that of other shops which have been releasing their headers. Their first header looked similar to many other early EL headers. Their version a few months after that with the facesucker look was similar to a few other shops production headers at that time. This new version looks the same as one other shops EL header.

Gosh I wonder if that is why they stopped giving so much feedback to the community? I personally would be hesitant to show my cards when every Tom, **** and Harry was releasing knockoffs of my prototypes. What they finally release will surprise folks because it has to. They are putting in the time to come out of the gate on top. I for one am glad they stopped feeding other manufacturers ideas. Seemed like a few weeks after every update for a while there a new nameless knockoff hit the market.
Sure there are only so many ways to skin a cat, but at least to me it was obvious they ended up paying the development cost for some other folks. If you don't have the patience to get the best then by all means buy a knockoff of an early prototype, but you can't reasonably blame them for what has happened.

I really don't see your point since the best selling headers to date are probably the Borla and Revworks. The most powerful headers to date are the HKS EL and JDL UEL. None of these are close to the unicorn nameless design. Sure some EL designs are similiar but they haven't proven themselves to be all that special compared to whats out there.

JDL is on their 2nd EL header now, I believe.

They have their own production time and service issues but at least some people have received the damn product...

With regards to design, the Nameless face-hugger V1 was pretty much the first header of that style that I can remember. All other shops were fucking around trying to make WRX and LGT manifolds fit, with disastrous results.

But good design and/or testing does fuck all with zero product...

Come on chaps

I know its disappointing not to have something out for xmas but we're only talking a couple of weeks here

You know that Jason will be tweaking away at cam timing on the dyno probably right now to try and flatten the torque hole as much as possible.

in hindsight they probably shouldn't have said they'll release a tune with this - just gives them another job to do

and just for arguments sake say it doesn't quite fill in the torque hole but instead gives that monster gain in mid-range we saw from early testing - would we care?

Even if they released it last week no one would have it by Christmas. It isn't even the end of December yet ffs. They said December release was the plan and people are upset it's not under their Christmas tree. Release and delivery are not the same thing on hand crafted products. I've been following this thread since it opened and all anyone does is make demands and complain. This December plan is the first real deadline I've seen them set, and guess what? If their prototypes don't make them happy they will probably push it back again. People put words in their mouth constantly. They said they have a tune, but I don't recall them saying it would be bundled with the header or that it would be this solution or that, and yet a flurry of ecutek bs exploded into the thread.

Either you are gonna wait or you aren't, but what you say here about it is meaningless.

I really wonder how many people are actually ready to buy this and how many people are griping just to gripe. Seriously, if the money is burning that big of a hole in your pocket, go buy something else. Either another header or something else you plan on doing. And if you don't even have the cash to buy this, what are your griping for?
