there's a thread in the suspension forum where a guy bought a whole FRS from a scrapyard without knowing anything about basic mechanics/components.

This may just be one noob understanding another noob, but it seems like he knows a little at least. If he knows enough to know how to take things apart and replace parts I'd say that's at least something.

That's a good point. Then again he did say he got it from an auction, maybe it was an impulse buy that he thought was simple, but is turning out to be complicated, hence his post. You're right though, research first, then buys. Auctions are dangerous for impulses.

Also, why is one of the tags on this thread 'you all suck squash'? Is someone mad, or just trying to be funny and failing?
