Cool video, thanks for posting. Bummer about the red stitching though, I kinda liked that with the Firestorm.

Thank god there is not going to be red upholstery in the seats. I hope I heard that clearly. Hopefully that is not just for the Canadian versions. Red is one of my least favorite colors.

No sound for me since I'm at work but the car looks sexy as usual. Bums me out that Asphalt is the least showed color. I want that FR-S hat!

Edit: Found this from someone else who said they sat in the car. "One bummer was that the red accents (all the stitching and the red areas on the seat) are being removed for the Canadian production model." Hopefully that goes for US versions as well because I'm on the same page as Mr. BRZ.

Doubt it. The BRZ doesn't have the red inserts, but still has the red stitching... I'm thinking you're going to see red accents on this car.

Well I signed up for the First 86 back in January when they had the window open. I received an e-mail a day later saying I was on the waiting list. I really didn't think I was going to get selected AT ALL so I just stopped worrying about it.
Then yesterday out of nowhere the Scion dealership near me called me & said I got selected!!
I went in today & the guy told me only 3,400 people signed up, approximately 2,000 within the first hour. I was chosen at random because the guy who was selected before me end turned it down
I have to bring a cosigner so tomorrow I'll have all my paperwork done & ready for my car to come in!!
I selected Hot Lava & automatic transmission, but I was also thinking White & debating on manual or automatic. The guy at the dealership told me if I want to change it then I can & he'll call Scion & let them know. What do you guys think?

Expect to see more "new" First 86 after pricing is announced, within the next month.

You shouldn't need a consigner yet (unless your under 18 perhaps) since you're not taking out a loan just yet. You should just need $500.

Congratulations and welcome to the club

Can't help you with your choices, I just don't think you could go wrong either way with the color or the tranny, welcome to the club though!

I was "wait listed" as well, but I got my email moving me up almost immediately, I think it was the day after the first batch.

Looks like there's still hope. I agree there may be some others called from reserve after the price announcement, then again after the test drives on delivery.

the iQ has random red accents/stitching in it's interior, and the other scions have a random looking pattern in different shades of blue/gray inserts on black seats, older models were always some kind of plain 2-tone with a blue/gray woven into black. It would surprise me if the FR-S interior was all the same black.

Welcome! I'm excited to get the car, but don't mind waiting til May/June if that's the case. I should be back in the country by then.

Congratulations and Welcome! Which dealership did you select? I'd like to update the map.
