While we might night has as many events as california, or as many users, the state is bigger than california. The only state in this section I would consider "remotely close" would be oklahoma. And for someone in houston, OKC is what, 8 hour drive. We just aren't relevant to the other states of the south. Texas is so big and encompasses so much land, that it just doesn't make sense to include other states. Truthfully, I think you should split up some of the states. If AZ has such a cult following, why limit them to 1 thread really? Give them a subforum. The forum software wont complain. Right now, we are starting to be isolated to the independent cities. I don't ever know what's going on in SA, Dallas, Houston because I pretty much stick to this thread. Is that my fault - yes - but make it easier on people. Point is - we don't want to leave ft86club.com for managing local austin events. That isolates us even more. When people get this car, they come here. Let's keep the community here. But I really don't see the harm in dividing some regions up.

Just drove my BRZ for the first time today and I also joined the yahoo group. If you see a flat white pearl BRZ around you'll know its mine

I've seen a lot of BRZ's and FR-S in the Corolla I'm in... lol. Gray metallic near Mopac and McNeil service road and a blue BRZ stock on 1433 out towards Rosa's in Cedar Park (Taco Tuesday!) After the toyota/subaru engineers give me my car back today, I won't see any.

Well... primarily the fact that its matte/flat white pearl not satin white pearl I have matte clear paint protection from bumper to bumper. Most of the other items I have planned (or waiting in my garage for me to install) will not make it stand out but just look more refined. I'm looking forward to some meets / drives once the holidays are past (or during if I can squeeze something in but really busy now)! |

Darn things like work and christmas parties getting in the way of photos and installing parts and such! My build thread here has some pics taken by the shop putting on the paint protection but they are just indoor in the shop with an iPhone. I hope to install some stuff and take some pictures between christmas and new years as work should be very light then as many of our customers will be closed for the holiday period. edit: I didn't put most of the shop photos here on FT86club because they are not that impressive (out of focus, just shop lighting, pics of a work in progress etc) but in sunlight and in person it looks amazing (retains the sparkle I love of the SWP but cuts all the reflection giving the car a soft sparkle look). Just for you my Austin neighbours though here is an online album with all the pics from the shop https://picasaweb.google.com/PicasaC...eat=directlink Last edited by MysteryMachine; 12-20-2013 at 02:30 AM. |

Just got my car back yesterday from the engineers. Aside from trying to blame my tune for the chirping, which I laughed at, they insulated my fuel pump. This morning I couldn't hear the chirps and listened closely. If anything, they're completely muffled in the insulation. Why didn't they just do this from the beginning?
Then again... I may be jumping the gun early. I'd be happy with a TSB to get insulation on people's pumps to fix it. |

Glad you are back in action! I've been dreading the day I start getting crickets and have just been hoping they have it figured out (either fix the root cause or have sound insulation) before mine starts. Ridiculous that they tried to blame your tune when this is such a well known issue with multiple TSBs already! |
