I'm using current CR-Z, which is 4wd. They have K24Z1 engine inside & pushin' 166hp/161tq (from wiki) do the math and 69hp/l & 67tq/l. Looks to me, it's almost same hp/ & tq/l range as current Subaru engine me.
i see your point. let's all just be thankful that the FT86 is not an SUV and doesn't have AWD.

Well never know, if FT86c is big hit, they might make it into hatch and from there it might evolve into mini SUV like Forrester & Impreza.

I disagree. Every drivetrain has its advantages / disadvantages.

I want it all...
FWD Hatch
RWD Coupe
AWD Coupe
...All have feel totally different to drive. All are exciting, IMO.

As for my 4x4 digging needs, I'll just get some POS 4x4 $500 beater. When it breaks down in the hills, I'll just walk home and leave it there to rot. All VIN plates removed of course so they can't trace it back to me...

Well, I actually don't plan on even going to do emissions/safety...as I don't plan on having the car even last more than a summer.

A buddy of mine would buy $300-$500 cars/SUV's all the time. We'd drive them into the ground (literally) and if they broke, he'd just kinda lose it/give it away, then move onto the next one. This one time he bought this tiny old 85'ish Chrysler econobox beater. First thing he did was spray paint it blue and added these totally retarded flames, (we called it "blue balls") then we took it off-roading. We drove it off this little dirt jump going pretty fast and it slammed into the ground face first. The ghetto-rigged fuel pump ripped off the fuel line and the car sputtered to it's death. I couldn't breathe because I was laughing so hard. About 20 minutes later, after finding the pump in the bushes, we clamped it back onto the fuel lines and drove it back home.

Sigh... Such good times.

Toyota owns part of Subaru as well as Yamaha (3S-GE), (20V BT), etc. Marketing the car would be cheaper that way and have a bulletproof engine to go with it.
4AGE's are the worst investment ever IMO 130WHP for $10,000+. My AE86 has over $15,000 in it, and my stock AW11 GZE will destroy that car def in a straight and I wouldn't be surprised in turns either. Stock to stock though the AW by a long shot. Buying the AE86 was the worst idea of my life, but I love the car to death 5 years and counting
