You can try my helmet on and borrow it if it helps. I am here to help anyone that wants to do track weekends. I will do brake and fluid swaps for you for free. By the way $325 for two days with an instructor is a great deal.

@FLIPs_FR-S I could do the Feb date as well. I was also talking to @CSG Mike who had recommended some pads/brake fluid. |

You can get 800C/1500F pads from us for just a hair more than $230, instead of "upgraded street pads" that work to just 450C/850F |

I've done some looking around here and a few other places. I've see some recommendations for the carbotech XP10s. That would be a choice I guess. But at the same time I have a personal friend that suggested the HP+ and I trust his advice. But, I'm very open for others opinions/advice to take into consideration

The HP+ is rated for 950F.
Carbotech XP10 are rated for 1650F, and Project Mu HC+800 for 1500F. Not much of a comparison there We have both the XP10 and HC+800 in stock.OEM pads are rated for about 600-650F |

I suggested the HP+ as a solution for a compromise between street and race pad. I don't recommend people drive around on the street with race pads, but I know others disagree. I told him I recommend the PFC08 if he wants a race pad.

The Project Mu HC+800 is a compromise pad, while the Carbotech XP10 is a race pad.
The HC+800 has been REALLY popular lately due to it's friendly price point and versatility. If you wanted a single pad to do everything, and don't want to run a race pad full time like I do, the HC+800 is unbeatable. |

LMK if I can help in any way with your research. FYI, HC+ and HC+800 are identical compounds, but the HC+800 is subsidized, and much cheaper. |

Spoke to NOLA Motorsports Scott this morning and we get four twenty minute sessions each day with plenty of time for breaks to cool in between each session. He indicated that we could use our stock brakes (at least mine because they're fairly new) but did stress changing the fluid to get rid of any moisture. I still want to go ahead and get the track grade pads though so I can have a different set and not use them up with daily use.
Appreciate the input from everyone on what to do so far. |
