Cool, because I was wondering about the accuracy of my scale.

I have a question concerning the mirrors maybe you can answer. Living on the Gulf Coast, i'm constantly driving in the fog. I want to change out to the heated mirrors, but am not sure if the wiring is already run for the heated mirrors, or if the wire has to be run. Does anyone know if making this modification is as simple as changing out oem mirrors for heated mirrors, or if the wiring has to be done also??

How are the door cards after install? Do they look like they have been removed? Do they move at all? I just don't want to run into a situation where my cab looks cheap while my exterior is on point

An important question for me is:
Do the mirrors move while driving? So I mean vibrating when the underground is rough. Because than the view while driving would be very limited. |

I've never noticed them vibrating, which makes me think they don't, because I've definitely noticed my rearview mirror vibrating. It's a lot worse now that I have Cusco engine mounts though. Stock mounts weren't bad at all.

Hi guys installed my APRs last night and today while looking back in traffic I noticed that the drivers side mirror looks a little off, like the image is slightly distorted almost like a funhouse mirror. I could not tell this at all when I first got them. I only noticed this when I look back in traffic. The passenger side mirror is completely fine. Am I the only one that has experienced this? what should I do?

I just installed mine today... Everything looks good, no pun intended, but the passenger mirror poses problems:
1) Extremely low horizontal field of view for the passenger mirror, probably between 15-20 degrees of an arc centered at the driver. I'm looking at this study https://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitst...pdf;sequence=1 and the field of view appears to be about 26 degrees for a person sitting in the car they daily drive. I wish I had taken measurements with the stock mirror before installing, but it is definitely smaller. 3) I'm average height, and sitting in normal position, the pillar of the front triangular window blocks the passenger mirror, further reducing field of view. If they sold a funhouse mirror stick on I would totally do it, or a slightly longer mount for the passenger mirror to dodge the pillar. Last edited by q335r49; 04-26-2019 at 03:22 PM. |
