POST UP YOUR DYNO FIGS!![Nat. Asp]DYNO Figures (BEFORE and AFTER)
As the title suggests, BEFORE and AFTER dyno results for NATURALLY ASPIRATED Zx6's..
I would like to know what kind of power GAINS you guys have made with the mods done to your car. I think this would be helpful to new owners of the cars to see what combination of mods will yield the best results and bang-for-buck. I'm not interested in what the dyno says after the fact as you all well know that every dyno reads differently. I'd rather just have the BEFORE(stock as a rock FR-S/BRZ/GT86) power figures vs your FINAL(modified and tuned) power figures: ie the true power gained. Please list the types of fuel you guys have used and the mods done to the car. Dyno plot of before and after would be good too I'll go first: ![]() Base "STOCK" 86: ~132 hp My Modified 86: 168.1 hp OVERALL GAIN: 36.1hp ========================================= STOCK CAR DETAILS: Toyota 86 GTS(Black) - NON MODIFIED FUEL USED: Unknown ----------------------------------------------------- MY MODIFIED 86 DETAILS: Intake - HKS Cold Air Feed(with 3x ducting holes cut out in front bumper) - TRD USA Intake Exhaust - HKS 4-2-1 Equal Length Headers(NO CAT), has O2 Sensor bung to fool computer there is a CAT - MOTIV Concepts Overpipe - MOTIVE Concepts Front Pipe(with HFC) - HKS Spec-L Cat Back Exhaust MISC Mods - The DriveShaftShop Carbon Fibre Drive Shaft *NOTE: this dyno run was taken 6 weeks ago, since then I've had additional mods, will be retuning the car later this week with updated results. ========================================= Last edited by stevo_12v; 12-18-2013 at 01:32 AM. |

Just a tip, make everyone put gain as %, not hp.
For example, base 180hp, now 198hp, 10% gain. |

How does it go for accuracy though as I think dynos do read differently. The Dynapack hub which I get mine tune on reads pretty low, so my 36hp gain translates to a 27.7% gain. |

Like your gains btw. I'm tempted to cut my bumper too. I've seen a few done now, and I think it can actually look quite good. |

Unfortunately I don't have a stock baseline but the dyno shop owner told me that he has dynoed a stock AT FRS and it made ~150whp. Here is my baseline with Borla UEL, Tsudo HFC front pipe and K&N drop-in air filter without tune vs Visconti tuned. Total WHP gain is 18% above stock and 10% better tuned vs un-tuned.

Steve, it doesn't look like your tuner took too much advantage of the header by playing around with the cam timing.
Bob @Drift-Office did a much better job with that header. Edit: With regards to torque dip.
