Also been a bit surprised at the reactions. Several people at work, comments like "love the new car", "really like the color".

Noticed several cars coming up next to me at red lights, easing up in the next lane, but behind me, then slowly coming up to the line, taking the time to have a good look at the car. Most looking as if they're trying to figure out what the hell it is!

Had a blacked out M3 with an aftermarket exhaust pace me while we were coming up to a red light. He could of easily left me in the dust but you could tell they were a humble/responsible driver.

We were looking at each others rides briefly until we started to slow down for the red light. I think he liked/approved of my ride cause he downshifted so hard I almost started drooling. You can bet your ass I seized that opportunity. Without missing a beat I downshifted hard as hell too. I love M3's and wanted to acknowledge and pay my respects haha

Because of traffic he ended up a car or two ahead of me but until we came to a stop we would take turns downshifting like mad men. He'd go, I'd go, he'd go, I'd go. People must of been thinking we were crazy

Then the light turned green and we went our separate ways. Never attempted to race or do anything irresponsible at all. I rarely come across gear-heads on the road so when he acknowledged my presence it felt pretty awesome. I think my tail lights really catch peoples eyes
But boy did that M3 sound amazing...

Crashed at a friends last night, parked on a street where I could keep an eye on my car. Woke up this morning and caught this dude checking it out for a good 5 minutes while he smoked.

Had a younger kid 17 ish tell me how my car looked alot like the brz. And he had to come over and say how much he liked it. Informed him how the twins are the same cars.

Was cruising on I4 eastbound today with a decent girl and a Lincoln Towncar limo driver rolled down the window and gave me an "ok" sign with his hand. I assume he meant the car.

Currently I drive an Evo X, and In the 2 years Ive owned it, no looks, no lady interest, all they see is a 4 door sedan, every once and a while Ill get nice car from someone who seems to know something about cars...

So Im trading in the Evo for the FRS, I dont have it yet, its being ordered in,
but I go to the sales rep and ask if my car is almost in, and some girl walks up to me and starts chatting to me about how much she loves the FRS,
I dont own it yet, and already... I cant believe it never happens in the Evo

I was vacuuming out my car at a self wash place and had an undercover lady cop in a white charger asked me if i wanted to race.

I just laughed and say "no, my car is slow, youd easily beat me"

When I had my STI, I rarely got any compliments (if any) on it. Like you said, STIs/Evos look like sedans, or in the case of my STI, a station wagon.

The FR-S is the opposite. Complete strangers will walk up to talk about the car and sometimes when I'm walking back to the parking lot, I'll find people standing around staring at it. When I brought it to the track, folks would love to talk about it and ask me how I planned to mod it.

I don't mind, just comes with the territory. It is a bit disconcerting at first though when you come back to your car to find some stranger pressed up against the glass trying to see the interior.
