Good choice! I've got a set of those too on the stockers.

I was going to throw winters on my stocks, but i decided to get sti brembos and they won't clear stocks so it would be a waste.

I wish, i had to work. I did get a donut off when i got to work, but that's the extent of it. do you know anywhere good in our area? I had a few places where I used to live, but I haven't checked out the neighborhood here in Westchester.

Forest preserve parking lots are empty due to the snow, there is also an industrial parking lot right off cermak and 25th ave. which is surrounded on 3 sides by buildings/thick fencing. I mainly got my fun in going to work @ 6am, streets were not plowed near me at all which was interesting to navigate to say the least.

Definitely forced me to concentrate on my throttle control, and I had TC on which is rare for me... with TC it really stabilizes the car through/on deep snow which is nice

Thanks, I'll check those out. I didn't hit the road until 10 so it was all clear. The snows grip a little much for sillyness. I need to really try to break it free, but you also have a bit more power than i do... for now

I unententionally drifted the north bound 294 onramp from cermac the other day. Cold tires, and single dgit temps make that sweeper interesting.

How are the lowered guys doing in this Chicago weather? I have a set of sportlines sitting in my garage right now and im wondering if i should wait till early spring to install them. im not completely new to lowered cars as my last A4 was dropped about an inch, but i think this car may sit lowered than that stock...
Also, i got a set of Blizzak LM-32's fitted on some WRX 16" wheels. They have made the couple of snowfalls we've had quite a breeze and the time on dry roads feel great!

Rocking sportlines now... no problems. Drive everyday to work.

I am running stances. I raised it up 2" from where i had it set at for the summer just in case there was a heavy snow, but i have no issues so far.

Dropped 1.5-1.8 inches, I don't have any trouble, might hear a bit of snow underneath the car in unplowed alleyways though.

^ that's from Saturday... drove to Wisconsin in the middle of the snow. I'm seriously impressed with this car (especially now that my rev drop issue has been solved with a reflash).
