Isnt that equal to 300lbs driver and passenger in the car = 30 less hp ?

If you want to utilize all 200 HP, you better buy a Remote Control and reportedly control it. Otherwise, you are driving with less than 200 HP ? LOL.

My point is....the same as the Title

One disadvantage to the perceived lack of grunt is that I find myself "working" the engine excessively to extract every bit of horsepower. Our engines are probably working a lot harder than the larger displacement motors. Not sure that is good.

That's how it was designed to be driven. Hondas last over 200k miles easily with people driving them hard for years and years.

I'm actually not sure how Column C works though, "I'm not a great driver, wish there was more power" doesn't make sense to me. Either they get blasted on the straights by others (column B) or the cornering isn't enjoyable in which case they simply bought the wrong car, kind of like buying a motorcycle and complaining about cargo space or wind noise (which I'm sure many do, the internet is a special place).

You fail to see it because the other three make no mention of people who play too fucking many video games that their perception of reality is sketchy at best.

And what does that have to do with a Subaru boxer which has nothing in common with a bullet proof Honda motor?

The more I drive this car the more I realize I don't need a supercharger or more power. However I think the platform does need a turbo to survive, its already getting the street rap as all show and no go/ gal car ( I could care less but most owners around here are female.) I think most buyers aren't buying it because its a drivers car or the handling but because of the styling.

What I would say is get rid of the back seat, shorten the wheelbase and lower the safety features/ratings to get it under 2500lbs. Then it would be perfect. Oh and put a Honda motor in it

Yes I am a secret member of the "Mazda should make a Miata coupe cult".

Off topic but I think they did make a few hundred in Japan one year.

I do appreciate the larger size/weight when I take an interstate trip, so there are advantages. I'd still give up a couple stars on the safety rating to drop a few hundred pounds, guess I value "tossability" more than my life

Well, I hear ya .....

However, a miata with the PRHT (powered retractable hard top) or a removable hard top, pretty well makes it a "coupe".

The "back seat" - read a bit move traveling room, is one of the reasons why we moved from our miata to the FR-S.

As far as "tossibility" in our FR-S, with the OEM tires and the ESC OFF ..... is just about as far as mrs humfrz will be "tossed" before she says "one more stunt like that, you old fool, and you can take me back home" ....

I found the PRHT to not feel like a coupe more of a gimmick (just mme.)

As far as tossabilty. The best analogy I can give is driving my FRS reminds me more of driving my E24 BMW than my 2002. Its more of a gran tourer that a sports coupe, but it has positive attributes of both. I think part of the reason people want more power is because the car is a GT (a little one but still a GT.) Its just a little too long, wide and heavy to be really maneuverable and tossable like say, the AE86. But again its much more interstate capable than most little old sports cars.

"gah FRS/BRZ are so slow, if only they had like 50 more hp"

I read once that men marry with the hope she'll never change.

Women marry with a hope to mold him into their dream.

I test drove several 300HP cars before I bought my FR-S that didn't win my heart.

I hope my little Asphalt colored girlfriend never changes.

However I would like a Berk dual muffler delete. We'll call it a boob-job. She needs bigger TIPS!
