that's the fun part, my connection at Siemens has strict rules...no help with a bench.

That is what I was thinking of doing. Get all my other mods done and wait for a turbo from the factory

I believe Toyota/Subaru has made it pretty clear that there won't be a turbo model.

I think that's just to make us go ahead and buy one though... Then when sales start to drop they'll add FI.

I believe after the WRX was first launched SOA said no way in hell the STI was coming over here, too. Soooo....?

I know a guy who has said it'll be about 18 months later...a guy who also knows the material spec changes between the 04-07 and 08+ cranks

I still want to get hands on the NA model of this for now.

I would much prefer a Turbo or Supercharger model from the factory though. So that it's incorporated in the resale value of the car. & also because it would likely come w/ a more aggressive suspension as well.

Keeps me from paying for two suspensions.

I am. I'll be buying next year, 2014 model so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be out by then.

I'd be willing to pay up to 30k, if it includes 250+ hp, a more aggressive suspension & wheel setup, weight cutting (some carbon fiber parts), leather seats, keyless entry, nav unit w/ nice sound system, security system (digital key w/ start button ignition), spoiler, running lights & HIDs.

Not always. TRD has two warranty levels: TRD Sport parts carry a 12/12,000 warranty OR carry the balance of the original vehicle warranty. TRD Race or Off-Highway parts carry no warranty.

still be a worth while investment if the parts arent covered but the factory/dealership warranty isnt voided

Nothing can void your warranty, however, Toyota may not accept the warranty claim if the failure is related to a non-warranty part. For example: IF Toyota offered a supercharger for the FR-S that failed, and it was installed by a Toyota dealer, unmodified, and not abused (Toyota can look at the computer data before the engine or supercharger failed), Toyota would replace the damaged parts under warranty. IF you installed a TRD cold-air intake (Race part) to said hypothetical supercharger and it failed... no warranty service.
