I actually like the e46 power ban a little more. It has less hp, but it is lighter and more nimble. That being said, I like how this one is modernized. I wanted some creature comforts and a warranty. Car is still a monster too, just a diff torque curve.

That's awesome! Especially if it's a 1 of 1 factory color! Resale value for days! Or better yet, years!

So if it's the only one, did the dealership have it custom painted this color, or did you place a custom order? I thought BMW allowed that sort of thing for a premium but I wasn't sure.

Sounds like a custom order through the Individual program. It's more common in other countries. Dealerships in the USA generally don't involve themselves with these things... for whatever lame reason. There are a few dealers who are brave enough to order cool stuff like this. I love some of the wacky color combos people put together.

I love being the 2nd owner of such things.

Thanks guys. Yeah this car was ordered as an individual color. BMW Portland ordered the car along with a few other things to sell as unique set ups. This car was sold, but the deal fell through, so I took advantage of the situation the second the car became available.

That's really awesome. I'd hold onto that thing forever, knowing it's one of a kind.

The fact it's a factory paint makes it pretty badass and I like it.

Throw it up on bringatrailer.com in twenty years and I bet you will get a good portion of your money back out of it, if it's the only one.

All that said, I would never go out of my way to buy any other car in that color, it makes me think of loud Honda Civics.

I love it in this case though. Makes me think of that Polestar C30. :-)

I hope they keep it up. We need more US dealers bringing cool options/colors across the pond.

Thanks. I personally love the color. Biggest issue is that I can't ever drive poorly. Everyone would know it wAs me.
