I also got a call from Subaru! Looks like I'll be back in an 86 by next week.

Well, pretty much the same but decided to dive into the MT. I've never owned a standard before, and even though I loved the auto, I was drooling for more.

Good choice! This was my first MT I've owned too and I'm so happy with my decision. Glad you got things settled with them. Let me know when you get it and post some pics! Make a build thread!

I was planning to go ahead and start one anyway with my original brz. Probably when I get home.

Well got the car back today.

-New transmission
-New HPFP
-Injector seal popping TSB performed
-AC RPM drop TSB performed
-Front windows tinted 35%, rear and windshield 20%
-New A/C cabin filter
-2nd complimentary maintenance
-New floor mats
-New shift knob
-New shift boot
-New third brake light because the other one was rattling
-Rattles fixed (hopefully permanately) on the driver side door
-New axle ordered and will be installed in January

Pretty happy overall that everything got done the way I asked.

I keep forgetting to take a video of the exhaust. However, this got installed today.

So far I haven't really tested the strut bar. I still have a brand new transmission so I wanna take it easy on the car for a few weeks. After that, I will definitely test it out.

Looks good under there! I am definitely interested in your opinion on the front strut bar; my understanding of suspension dynamics (which is limited and mostly an abstract understanding) would lead me to believe that this mod would reduce oversteer/increase understeer.

Nice man! Yeah I really want to see what yours sounds like because I also have the FT86 V1, and I am thinking of getting a catted front pipe.

So speaking of your exhaust, did you get the non-resonated catback from ft86 speedfactory? with the over pipe and front pipe, how much louder is your exhaust from stock?

Well, I just left to go home for 2 weeks so no exhaust clip for a few weeks.. I'm sorry. However, I will tell you I LOVE the sound. FT-86SpeedFactory has some videos on their YouTube channel of their V1 with a front pipe. That's what made me sold on this one. Nice burble, good sound throughout the entire powerband, and just a really good boxer sound overall. It's perfect for my taste, but may be too loud for others.

I have the unresonated, but I may get a resonated midpipe soon so I can get their header and keep the rasp/drone down. With my entire set up now, it is a good amount louder than stock. Louder and consistently louder through the powerband in comparison to just a catback or axle back. I love my exhaust and I get a lot of compliments on it. One of my buddies in Nebraska with a really nice new WRX said he loves how my car sounds. If I get compliments from Subbir guys, then I should be doing something right haha.

A question I had, in light of your recent warranty work, did they ask you about your performance mods at all or mention them in relation to any of the issues that you were having? Just curious, as I am fixing to jump into that arena with mine.
