Agree with @JSanders. I went with a body shop clear job as well. Better to go professional if you want it looking factory. I couldn't find a big shop to do it, just a small little hole in the wall place. Took them an hour and cost me $80.

Thanks! Sorry, I haven't been on this thread for awhile. I did quite a few. Probably 4 or 5? After the initial light ones, I put it on pretty thick. I actually had to re-do my lights one time after the body shop burned through some of the red sanding it. I did notice that if I didn't get a lot of paint on the lights, they looked pink up top because of the chrome.

What worked, was A LOT of paint, giving it a deep red, and telling the body shop not to sand. I actually did the painting in their booth with the red, ran out and got them when I was finished and they cleared them while the red was still tacky.

I went to Benny's on University. Ask for Benny Jr. He's the one who cleared mine.

I had my extra set done by a "professional" for $80 yesterday. Its about half coated thickness what it should be so Im taking them back today to spray a few more coats on. Should be joining this croud monday if he doesnt fuck it up by doing it again (what was done looked really good)!!
