Hum..I would like the whole TRD setup, but if the brakes are that much $ I find them to be a waste, So I would just look at doing a STI brake swap and repaint them red and re-decal with TRD on them, $1200 and your good to go, better brakes, easy to find parts, pads and looks great, as for the other stuff, I will get it all.

The only thing I want from TRD is the rear spoiler and the painted price is exactly what I thought it would be, around $450. I don't like anything else except for the brakes and seats but I would never pay a dime for them.

I would gladly pay for a complete-from-the-factory TRD Release FR-S, with one major addition to the mix.

A comprehensive TRD-labeled (but outsourced for major components) supercharger package. I am thinking the Rotrex C30-74 would be a good fit… Intercooler, larger injectors, an ECM flash…

And bring back the (decidedly ricer, alas) 4 gauge A-pillar cluster; boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp. But make them white face w/black markings, and red backlighting at night.

Hell, throw in a cushioned bolt-in 4-point harness bar & 5-point harnesses!

Scion FR-S TRD Club Release…?!?

US$42,500…!?!

;^p

EDIT - Oh, and a quick OS X widget conversion of currencies tells me that all of the TRD parts together would cost about the same as the car itself…!!! 2 million yen = 26,500 US dollars (roughly)…!!!

And of course, the TRD parts total figure does NOT include the Rotrex kit, 4-gauge cluster or harness bar & harnesses…

Then lose even more to get them installed? Which sometimes costs more than the part being installed and why I gravitate towards DIY. But I still want these parts. I hope they come pre-installed in a TRD or STI or PROVA edition. They may have a higher sticker price but should cost less than modding a stock car.

Toyota really knows how to gyp you! I've fallen for it several times over.
I agree.

Why would you pay twice as much for a for a clutch that can't handle as much as torque as the other aftermarket brands?

i like the way it feels, i dont plan on pushing more than 300 whp and i like the warranty, when a clutch explodes, damage is done to bearings, bell housing, pressure plate, if the part fails toyota will warranty all damages because it is a genuine toyota part installed by the dealership, that kind of damage, repairs can be in the thousands.

if you want something that grabs harder and that is stronger just get the JDM variant...
