I've taken off my muffler, spare tire, tools, front crash bar, rear crash bar, many little things. With this I'm probably a little over 100 lbs shaved off but I won't feel it unless it cause I'm used to it. Only the drag strip will tell I guess

For some of us it isn't about weight. I happen to like the interior with the rear seat folded down. Reminds me of any number of cars from my youth. I'm hoping whatever they come up with will be built in such a way that it creates useful hidden spaces for electronics.

I sent them an e-mail asking if it might be possible to make a deluxe version that makes the space where the seats used to be useful for mounting electronics. I'd love to be able to hide amplifiers under there.

That's awesome, thanks for doing this!

Ask them if there is any possibility of hidden amplifier shelves where the rear seats normally are. I'll gladly pay extra.

Ok folks, Steve with Shrader Performance here. Just wanted to post up some pics of the Rear Seat Delete we built for ML. We are so excited about this design for the FRS and BRZ owners! This is the first time we've been able to allow the back panel to fold down for access to the trunk area to carry long objects. It was one of the most complex designs to date, with 4 separate panels to make up the rear seat delete.

A few highlights:
- Total weight loss from the car is about 23 lbs after installing the RSD.
- Rear panel removes easily to carry long objects.
- Lower panels each lift up to reveal substantial hidden storage space.
- Made of strong ABS plastic, no wood. Plastic is heat-formed for rigidity and strength in key areas. Will hold luggage, tires, etc.
- will be available for Christmas orders! Website should be updated by 12/13/13 for order placement.
- Introductory pricing of $299 for the first batch of orders.

We also found a great trick for keeping the passenger seat from sliding backwards automatically when you want it to stay forward. Thank you for this secret tool Scion!

My order arrived yesterday. Ordered Friday. I call that a good turnaround time, especially since I requested a little customization. I requested the back panel be split as well so I can mount a subwoofer behind me and still be able to drop the passenger side for long items. They advised that it might be difficult to perfectly align the halves, but I went for it anyway. While I have everything apart I'm going to do a little extra sound deadening back there. I'll put up pics once it's all in, including the sub.
Won't have a chance to install it until this weekend at the earliest.
Pulled it from the box and it looks nice.

Wow that is a good turnaround considering they make everything by hand! I had to put my rear seat back together Sunday, so if you have any questions about installing it let me know.
